"Have you ever really danced on the edge?"
That's the first thing Luke said to me after we left Central Park. We didn't talk the whole way here, because we knew that here is where this would end. And I think that scared us both a bit too much.
"Luke, honey, sweetie, you need to stop with the Pierce The Veil." I said biting on my tongue and ruffling up his hair. He grabbed my wrist tightly and looked into my eyes. Half serious-half jokingly, he said to me, "hey, you can touch me anywhere you please just not the hair. Okay?"
I shut my mouth and stared into his cosmic eyes just swallowing hard because oh my god, serious Luke Hemmings was such a turn on. He let go of my wrist and smiled biting down on his lip ring.
He pulled me down the footpath before we were smack in the middle of the bridge, watching the sun's reflection glimmer in The East River.
"Hey, Luke?" I said very quietly and he turned his head dow to look at me, "Will I ever see you again?"
"Who knows?" He replied, with his voice shaking a bit, as he threw an arm around my shoulder.
"You know what's really funny?" I asked trying to lighten the mood a bit.
"What's that?"
"New York. It's really strange but New York City is a funny place. Out of all the celebrities and druggies, the homeless and students, out of all the 8,405,837 people, I managed to find you." I replied timidly feeling heat rush to my face. Luke looked down at me with a sincere look on his face and crash his lips onto mine in a forceful but loving way.
"And do you know what's funny?" He said after he pulled away.
"What's that?"
"I, Luke Hemmings, the 6 foot, punk rock, monster, couldn't be more happy about it." He leant down and kissed my temple, making butterflies erupt in my stomach. "Come on, princess, let's get you home."
