Greg laid himself down onto the CT scan machine, while Shaun and Dr. Browne got ready to do the CT Scan.

"So, Shaun...How's scut work going for you?" Claire asked. Shaun didn't answer her.

"I'm gonna take that as an 'it's good'." Dr. Browne decided.

"Sorry, Claire. I was distracted by this case." Shaun admitted. Truth was, he was also busy taking photos with the CT scan.

"That's alright. Tell me what's distracting you." Dr. Browne suggested. Shaun finished the first set of images before replying.

"This patient's arm has been growing weak, but there is no physical problem with the patient's arm." Shaun explained.

"Oh...that is difficult. Have you considered it being his motor abilities?" Dr. Browne asked.

Shaun looked at the computer, before looking in Dr. Browne's direction.

"That's why I'm giving him a CT scan." Shaun explained.

"Oh...right..." Dr. Browne replied awkwardly, as she connected the dots in front of her.

"Is that the only symptom he has? No headache, or-" Dr. Browne started, before being interrupted by Shaun's clipboard, landing on the desk in front of her.

"Thanks." Dr. Browne said, interpreting Shaun's action as 'Find it yourself.'. She sighed, before looking at the information on the clipboard. From what she could get from the info on the board, she was right. That was the only symptom he had. so, that scratched off the chances of a stroke. The other thing Dr. Browne noticed for the first time, was Shaun's writing. He wrote in all capitals! Dr. Browne got curious as to why.

"That is a lot of brain fluid..." Dr. Browne heard beside her. Puzzled, Dr. Browne looked towards her partner. Shaun's face was revolutionary! His eyes were wide, his mouth was slightly open and his hands were floating over the keyboard. Then, she looked at the computer scan...

The picture appeared to be showing a very interesting brain (or, at least what's left of the brain). Any signs of brain tissue, appeared to be thin and literally outlining the inside of the skull. The inner part of the brain was missing. Instead of brain tissue, there was a great amount of liquid keeping the brain tissue from collapsing in the skull. Shaun and Dr. Browne were in utter shock.

"Where's his brain?" Dr. Browne asked.

"It's...all around here." Shaun said, drawing the outline of the brain with his finger. Dr. Browne's eyes went wide.

"That's it?!" Dr. Browne exclaimed.

"Yes. That's it. Everything else is brain fluid." Shaun explained.

"His brain is missing! It's actually 90% gone! How can that be possible?" Dr. Browne asked, dumbfounded by the CT Scan.

"I don't know." Shaun replied. He put his lips towards the speaker, to talk to the patient.

"Hello Greg. I have a question for you." Shaun started.

"What is it?" Greg asked.

"Have you had any difficulties in controlling your body?" Shaun asked. Greg thought for a moment.

"No, I haven't. Just the weakness in my right arm." Greg explained.

"What is your job?" Shaun asked.

"I'm a mobile developer at Samsung." The man replied. Dr. Browne grabbed the mic and spoke next.

"So, coding is your strength? And what is your weakness?" Dr. Browne asked.

"Yes, math and coding are my strength. And my weakness is art and camping. I can't camp, canoe, kayak, fish or do any of those kind of outdoor activities." Greg explained.

"Okay." Shaun said to himself.

"Why are you asking? Did you find something?" Greg asked. Shaun took back the microphone.

"We believe we did, but we'll need a second opinion. We're done." Shaun concluded. Dr. Browne sent the scans to an iPad, to show Dr. Melendez. Once the scans sent, Shaun turned the computer off.

A Couple Minutes Later:

Dr. Browne and Shaun showed Dr. Melendez the CT scans. Dr. Melendez's face went from neutral, to 'mind blown', in a max of 5 seconds.

"Is that...your patient's brain? Where is it?" Dr. Melendez asked.

"It's...right here-", Shaun said, attempting to draw the outline of the brain again.

"No no no, I know where the brain is." Dr. Melendez said.

"That was a rhetorical question, Shaun. He knows where it is, but was surprised by the amount of brain tissue on the scan." Dr. Browne explained. Shaun nodded, to show that he understood.

"This is quite the case. I feel like you should take this to either Dr. Lim. Or, better yet, Dr. Glassman. He'll know what this is. Or, at least a little more about this. Honestly, it looks like some bacteria is taking over his brain for about a decade." Dr. Melendez suggested. Dr. Browne sighed and took the iPad from Dr. Melendez.

"Okay." Shaun said, leading the way towards Dr. Glassman's recovery room.

Dr. Browne followed Shaun as they walked through the memorized hospital. A few twists and turns later, Shaun made it to Dr. Glassman's room. Shaun looked through the door, before going in. Suddenly, Shaun felt a hand on his wrist.

"Wait...he could be sleeping." Dr. Browne warned. Shaun looked at Dr. Glassman's eyes, which appeared to be twitching.

"I know you're there, Shaun." Dr. Glassman said, eyes still closed. He slowly opened them and moving his head, to look at the door. Shaun opened the door.

"Yes...Hello. I'm here. Claire is too." Shaun replied. Dr. Glassman smiled after hearing that.

"Hi Dr. Glassman. How are you feeling?" Dr. Browne asked.

"A little bored, but okay." Dr. Glassman replied.

"We have a strange case about a man missing 90% of his brain." Shaun explained.

"I should've known that there was more than one reason you visited me." Dr. Glassman replied, chuckling.

"His name is Greg. most of his brain is missing, and has been replaced with brain fluid." Shaun said before handing over the iPad. Dr. Glassman looked at the brain scan, and lifted his eyebrows.

"It looks as if he has Hydrocephalus. I've seen this before, but I've never seen such a severe case like this." Dr. Glassman said.

"Hydrocephalus?" Dr. Browne asked.

"It's a condition where the brain becomes filled with fluids, which puts pressure on the brain." Dr. Glassman explained. Dr. Browne's eyes widened.

"You should see if the patient has had surgery for it, and if you can fix it. If it's a child, you can probably fix it. But, if it's an adult above the age of 21, you won't be as lucky." Dr. Glassman advised.

"Okay. Thank you." Shaun said, smiling before leaving the room.

"Hey Claire." Dr. Glassman said, quickly. Dr. Browne turned around.

"Yes?" Dr. Browne asked.

"There's something I want you to remember about the patient's brain: It may look like it's been eaten away, but in reality, the brain has probably been compressed into the shape that you see on the brain scan. I thought that would be helpful for you too." Dr. Glassman explained.

"Okay. Thanks! Get well soon." Dr. Browne concluded, before following Shaun out the door...
