What do you think of the ocean?
That was the question that stopped me when I got to the last part of the exam.
What do I think of the ocean?
I started writing my answer as the deafening silence of the classroom ring in my ears. The only sound that's been heard is the sound the clock is making. Tick, tock. Tick, tock.
"Time's up! Pass the paper at the center aisle, finish or not." the teacher announced, earning a multiple of groan and complaint erupt the entire classroom. I sigh, before passing my paper to my seatmate, and the other, and the other.
"Read Pride and Prejudice for our upcoming recitation on Thursday! Class dismissed!" the teacher reminded again as the students make their way out of the classroom.
I put my headphones on my ears, the music played in my mind soothingly, not caring about the world. Our class is finally done, so does the year of being a sophomore. Vacation starts right now, and I can finally have joy welcome me whole, so does my bed from my room, and my laptop with Netflix I watch all day. Sleep is the first thing I needed right now, after all we did 150 word essay from other subjects, I just hope my score is enough for me to pass so I don't have to go to a summer class.
As I walked to the dangerous road of North Carolina, the smell of smoke and gas hit my nose and I immediately cough out loud and cover my mouth and nose with my hands.
Suddenly, my eyes encountered a mixture of blue and white, its crystal clear water hitting itself against the sand. The sun that is ready to go down was illuminating the sea, earning a stunning reflection be seen.
The only thing I could say was... wow
The view was something out of a book. It's... fascinating. Making me want more to see the depths of it. I have seen the ocean from the beaches me and my parents visited, but it will still take my breath away. It's just so... magical. Too beautiful to be true
"I know, beautiful isn't it?" I almost jumped at the familiar voice, that's been heard behind me. I turned around and saw my father, with a smile on his face. His crinkled eyes that reflects the beauty of the water behind me.
"Dad! You scared me!" I gasped before turning my attention to the ocean.
"Isn't the ocean beautiful?" he questioned, keeping his attention to the front.
"Yeah, I like how they reflect the sunset like a mirror." I answered.
"It's not going to be like that anymore though." he stated, making me turn around to face him.
"What?" I only asked. He used his right hand to point something across the sea. I followed where he's pointing at and saw a trash floating at the water.
"They'll probably pick that up." I stated, not caring.
"Probably."
