Immediately after breakfast Tyler drove us to the pack prison. It was dark and reeked of blood and decay, I almost threw up.
God, It was horrible. I glanced at the blood stained walls making sure that I touched nothing. If it were up to me, I won't even step on the floor.
We reached his cell and I saw him,his head was bent so I couldn't see his face. His head snapped up and he looked towards Crystal.
"Mate...." He trailed off, he looked battered and bruised. You could hardly make out his bloody face but I could.
Crystal winced when she saw him but said nothing. I wracked my brain trying to place his face...
West Aaron. The fire man!
I gasped, all eyes were on me now. "He...he was the fire department guy that came to my house to put out the fire, you phony!" I raised my hands tightening the chains around him making him groan in pain.
"Stop... please,"Crystal pulled my hand.
"No,LET ME AT HIM!"
"No, Suzie please," she pleaded and I released my hold on him.
"Start talking," Tyler demanded.
He looked at Crystal but kept quiet.
"Tell us the truth or Goddess help me I will reject you," Crystal threatened.
Panic flashed in his eyes,"I only follow commands, I was called to act as a fire man and I did. I promise you I don't know what my boss looks like,nobody sees his face except his second in command, the rest of us follow orders."
He paused,"Someone is here, but I didn't see him I only got a note. And a recorder,thats how I passed information about our fight with him."
"How did you get the information?" Tyler asked.
"I woke up from sleep saw it and when I woke up from sleep the next time, it was gone."
"There's a mole here, living right under our noses."
"What does this second in command look like?"
"He is an average man, he is also a wizard,"
"What?" I brought out my locket and showed him the pictures.
"Yes, that's him,"
"No,it can't be,"I said shaking my head rapidly. "There must be a mistake,"
"Am sorry but it isn't, he personally sent me here, I came in through the gate because all the guys were knocked out."
"Why didn't someone tell me anything?" Tyler boomed.
"Because there are dead, and I guess their bodies have been disposed before another set resumed their duty at the gate,"
Tyler was pacing the front of the cell, "What message did you give?"
"I told him that your defenses are strong and your mate is equally strong and possess powers using her eyes and hand."
"Please permit me to be with my mate, I will join your pack and help out."
"She's my sister,"Tyler said tightly.
Crystal was awfully quiet. I guess seeing your mate in that position is dreadful. I can't imagine Tyler going through this.
"I promise I will never hurt her, I promise with my life, if I lay a finger on her you can kill me." He pleaded.
Tyler glared at him, I touched his arm. He looked into my eyes and sighed.
"Fine, but you can't be released if not the spy here will find out and do something drastic, but I will move you to a private cell."
"Crystal attend to him please."
She smiled in thanks as we left.
