I was woken by Jingle Bells playing somewhere in the living room, but soon it was replaced by screams. I dashed out and into the living room to see a green tree rotating towards Rose, Mickey, and Jackie, going through the coffee table in the way. I felt for my sonic and cursed under my breath. It was in my TARDIS.

"Get out! Go, go! Get out!" Mickey yelled and picked up a chair to fend the tree off. Points for bravery.

The Doctor might have his sonic so I ran back into his room. I searched through his old clothes for it and finally gave up when I heard the tree tear the chair into splinters.

I dropped the jacket to the floor and heard a faint whir. The sonic was in his pocket. How did I miss that?

His was a different model then mine and I groaned in frustration when Mickey, Rose, and Jackie entered, the tree following. I placed the sonic in his hand and whispered into his ear, "Please help me."

Immediately, the Doctor sat up and pointed the sonic screwdriver at the tree, causing it to explode. "Remote control," he remarked, "But who's controlling it?"

The Doctor placed a dressing gown on and went outside the flat. Everyone followed.

There on the ground, three people with plastic Santa faces looked up, one holding a radio controller.

Mickey said loudly, "That's them. What are they?"

"Shush!" The Doctor aimed the screwdriver at them and the Santa's backed away. A beam appeared, taking them who knows where.

"They've just gone. What kind of rubbish were they?" Mickey asked incredulously, "I mean, no offence, but they're not much cop if a sonic screwdriver's going to scare them off."

"Pilot fish," I muttered, showing that a little part of my brain worked somehow.

Rose asked, "What?"

The Doctor explained, "They were just pilot fish." Out of nowhere, he hunched over in pain.

"What's wrong?"

He looked at me. "You woke me up too soon. I'm still regenerating. I'm bursting with energy." He exhaled the golden smoke. "You see? The pilot fish could smell it a million miles away. So they eliminate the defence, that's you lot, and they carry me off. They could run their batteries on me for a couple of-ow!" I placed my hand on his shoulder and concentrated. I could take some of the energy inside of him and hold it. That should make the pain subside for him a bit. The Doctor glared at me, clearly noticing I'm in pain from it. "Stop!"

He then has the one pain I can't help him with. "My head! I'm having a neuron implosion. I need-"

Jackie interrupted, "What do you need?"

"I need-" The Doctor tried again.

"Say it. Tell me, tell me, tell me."

"I need-"

"Painkillers?"

"I need-"

"Do you need aspirin?"

"I need-"

"Codeine? Paracetamol? Oh, I don't know, Pepto-Bismol?" She listed.

"I need-"

"Liquid paraffin. Vitamin C? Vitamin D? Vitamin E?"

"I need-"

Jackie interrupted once more, "Is it food? Something simple. Bowl of soup. A nice bowl of soup? Soup and a sandwich? Soup and a little ham sandwich?"

The Doctor finally finished, "I need you to shut up."

"Oh, he hasn't changed that much, has he?" She huffed.
