Six years have passed and a lot has changed.

Spencer met Agent Jason Gideon of the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit at the age of twenty two. Gideon handpicked him to be a part of the team.

J.J. worked as an Administrative Specialist at the FBI headquarters for a year before joining the Behavioral Analysis Unit as the Communications Liaison.

Courtney accepted a new job in New York and has moved out of their family home in Las Vegas to an apartment building in New York. She moved there in 2002 and has been working at the law firm ever since.

Samantha had another baby, her fourth child, a boy—Owen Nicholas Hayes. She decided to give up her job as a nurse to focus on her family.

Spencer's mother Diana was moved to the Bennington Sanitarium in Las Vegas, Nevada, Spencer's hometown. Spencer and both of his sisters agreed that it was best that their mother was cared for in a facility so that Courtney could finish her degree and move forward in her life.

Over the years, Spencer and J.J. continued to raise their sons together.

Henry and Jonah are now in grade three and grade one and are both at the top of their classes. They're both intelligent and best friends who do everything together, just like their parents.

Cameron is in sixth grade, Victoria is in fifth grade, while Natalia is in grade four and Owen is now in Kindergarten. They all have their mother's intelligence.

Spencer and Gideon were in Las Angeles giving the LA Police Department a crash course on profiling.

They were checking out a museum that was owned by Parker Dunley-- a friend of Spencer's from high school.

Parker greeted them and showed them around the gallery, various exhibits and people surrounded them as they walked through the crowded gallery.

Parker glanced over at the door and recognized someone, "Lila!" he called out getting her attention.

"You've got to meet her Spencer" Parker said as he lead the way through the crowd.

"Lila" Parker repeated as he got closer to her. The girl finally turned around to greet him.

Spencer was stunned. A tall blonde woman turned around to face them. She had blue eyes just like J.J. And she was beautiful, Spencer thought.

"Lila, I'd like you to meet a friend of mine, this is Spencer Reid, and his collegue Jason Gideon" Parker introduced them.

"Hi" Lila's friend looked at Gideon. Spencer didn't even notice she was there until now. "Let's take a walk" she linked her arm in his as she took him down the hallway.

Spencer refocused his attention on Lila. "Hi, I'm Lila."

"Hi, I'm Dr. Spencer Reid" he shook his head quickly, realizing his mistake. "I'm Spencer, you don't have to call me 'Doctor'."

"It's cool" Lila said then added, "Spencer."

Spencer smiled at her giving a little chuckle.

"Want to see the gallery with me?" Lila asked, smiling.

Spencer nodded hesitantly.

They went around the gallery looking at all of the exhibits.

They were looking at a picture on the wall when Jason approached Spencer.
