Chapter Nine-How To Build A Home

"Hello?" Spencer answered on the other end of the line.

"Hi. It's me" J.J. said. "I need to tell you something."

"What is it?" Spencer asked softly.

"I'm pregnant." J.J. told him. Twenty seconds passed and J.J. started to get worried. "Spence?" J.J. questioned over the phone. "Are you still there?"

Spencer was stuck in a trance. He was sitting down in the living room after getting the boys ready for bed. He never expected a phone call like this.

"Y-yeah, I'm still here" Spencer managed to stutter out. "Are- are you okay?"

"Yeah" J.J. said. "I'm okay. I just need to know if you are."

"I think I am" Spencer told her.

J.J. remembered waking up in the hotel room that morning.

J.J. woke up as the sun peered in through the curtains of the hotel room. She turned to face Spencer beside her, who was still sleeping. She smiled as memories of last night seeped back into her brain, she had made the right decision last night and she needed to let Will go.

She sat up in bed quietly and swung her legs over the side, picking up her clothes off the floor and putting them back on as quietly as she could. She picked up her cell phone on the bedside table and found out that the Unsub had been caught last night, the Miami-Dade Police Department had brought him in and Emily had sent her a text message saying that they were leaving for D.C. at 11:00 a.m.

J.J. looked at the time on her watch, it was 9:00 a.m. She grabbed her purse off the floor and went over to Spencer, giving him a kiss on the lips. She brushed his hair back from his face and slipped out of the room quietly without waking him.

The team met at the airstrip around 10:30 a.m., they were gathered outside the jet. Spencer hadn't arrived yet. To J.J.'s surprise, Will had shown up as well. He waited a few feet away from everyone else.

J.J. walked over to him as he looked at her. He seemed to be in a better mood than he was yesterday.

"I take it you haven't changed your mind?" Will asked.

J.J. shook her head. "I'm sorry Will, I can't be with you. I'm in love with Spencer."

"J.J.!" Morgan called out, the team had started to board the jet.

J.J. looked back at Morgan and then turned back to Will. "Bye, Will."

"Bye, Jennifer" Will said and then walked off the tarmac.

Spencer joined them in the jet as J.J. sat down in a chair across from Rossi.

J.J. was still on the phone with Spencer in her office. "I'll be home in an hour. Can you stay with the boys until then?"

"Yes, I'll see you in an hour" Spencer agreed, hanging up the phone.

J.J. finished up the paperwork that was lingering on her desk and called it a night, slipping her coat on and pulling her purse over her shoulder. She locked her office and headed for the parking lot outside.

She arrived at the house twenty minutes later, locking the door behind her.

"Hey" Spencer greeted her quietly. He was reading a book on the couch.

"Hey" she replied setting her purse down on the couch. She joined Spencer on the couch.

He put down the book he was reading, ready to talk to her.
