J.J. thought about the look on Spencer's face when he pulled out of their driveway last night. It was a combination of hurt and anger. J.J. could understand why he felt the way he did. She knew that she could have waited longer before she decided to go out with Will but decided to do it anyway.

Now she was sitting at the kitchen table with the house phone in her hand debating weather she should call Will and tell him that this was just too sudden. She and Spencer had only broken up three weeks ago.

She wanted to talk to Spencer before she did anything. Up until three weeks ago, they were still best friends who told each other everything and worked through their problems together. When she couldn't go to Spencer, J.J. usually relied on her mom and Penelope. She didn't want to include Penelope in this one because she didn't want anyone at the B.A.U. to find out her personal problems. J.J. liked to keep personal things away from work.

She surprised herself with the number she decided to dial on the phone. "Hello?" the voice answered on the other line.

"Hey Courtney, it's J.J., I need to talk to you about Spencer" J.J. said.

On the other side of the line, Courtney sighed. "Did something else happen?"

"No" J.J. shook her head. "Kind of. Have you heard from Spencer or talked to him?"

"Not today" Courtney sighed. "What happened?"

"I went on a sort of date with a Detective we worked on a case with. Spencer found out by seeing him drop me off at the house" J.J. spoke quickly hoping that Courtney wouldn't be angry.

"A date?" Courtney questioned. "You guys broke up three weeks ago."

"I know, I know" J.J. stuttered out. "I've been talking to him about what has been going on with Spencer and he has been there for me. He asked me if I would go to dinner with him and I said yes" J.J. explained.

Courtney sighed. "I'll talk to Spencer for you."

J.J. took a deep breath, grateful to Courtney for trying to help her out. "Thank you."

On the other side of the line, Courtney hung up the phone thinking about the day that J.J. had told her that her little brother had a drug problem.

It had been six weeks since they had moved into the new house in New York. Courtney has previously lived in a two bedroom condo just outside New York, after taking her two nieces and nephews in, she had to get a bigger place.

She was staring at a painting she had put in the hallway upstairs wondering if she should keep it there, as stupid as that sounded. She wanted everything to be perfect for the kids, their lives had changed so much already.

The home phone was on the table in the hallway when it rang. Courtney walked down and picked it up, answering it. "Hello?"

"Courtney, it's J.J." J.J. announced on the other side of the line.

"Hey J.J., what's going on?" Courtney wondered, looking at the time on her watch. It was 8 in the morning, the kids would be at school soon.

"I found out last night and I thought you should know" J.J. explained.

"What is it?" Courtney asked. For a minute, she thought J.J. was pregnant again.

"Spencer has been abusing a drug called Dilaudid for the last three weeks. It's become an addiction. He doesn't want to go to rehab and is refusing to seek treatment."
