I walked out of my tree home and glanced at it one more time as I went through the forest with my new pack as we headed around to the mountains west of my home.

"So Shadow rumor has it around where we come from that you have wings and can fly forever if you wanted to...unless your not who you say you are and you really are just Sapphire?" said Mitch. The pack froze and they stared at me with an unsure look. I sighed and let my wings out to the soft, gentle breeze. Everyone stares at my wings as I flap them and then close them but keep them visible on my back. "Wow, Shadow's wings are even more impressive than I thought....and ten times more beautiful!!!" said Branch. I blushed. Misty continues to lead us northwest so we prevent from traveling through the dark forest...I continue to miss my home but still feel the presence of each animal that comes into the cave where I heal or answer their requests. Soon I no longer see as many trees and start to see more and more plains, and tall grass fields.

"Hey why doesn't Shadow fly, she has wings...and it would be a lot fast to get back to our home!" says Branch. "Because she doesn't know how to get there, and we won't be able to catch up with her! " growled Golden-spear. Branch nodded, "I'm hungry, are we there yet we've been walking for so long, are we there yet, can I go hunt, Oh man I'm starving!!!" said Branch.

"SHUT UP BRANCH, DON'T YOU KNOW HOW TO SHUT THAT BIG MOUTH OF YOURS?!!!!" shouted Golden-spear. Branch was silent and Golden-spear looked angry, I jolted and jumped out of his way as he stormed off.

"Where's he going?" I asked. "Oh don't mind him, he just needs a minute to himself, he's probably just as hungry as Branch...I know I am!" says Mitch. After that Match went out to hunt down our next meal and to look for Golden-spear. The rest of the pack stayed behind to guard me, mostly. Later in the evening Match came back with a big hunk of fresh meat and Golden-spear came back with a smaller one on his mouth. I had a good portion of the meat until my stomach was satisfied. Misty then had us on the move again and it was getting really, really dark...not to mention cold as well. But we didn't seem to be stopping, Misty just had us keep on walking, and walking and walking...I was tired and wasn't used to all of this it was a lot of work on my body. I continually had to force my eyes from shutting and from me knocking into any of my fellow wolf pack members. Mitch and Match glanced at me as they slowed there speed to match mine and saw me as I propped my eyes open again and yawned. Then the both picked up speed and went by Misty to talk to him. "Hey Misty?" said Match.

"Yeah, what's up?" asked Misty.

"Not Shadow...that's for sure!" smirked Mitch.

"Huh, what are you guys talking about?!" asked Misty.

"Misty, she's obviously not used to this...she's tired and I think we should find a safe place for her to sleep...." said Match. Misty had the pack stop and I laid down collapsing on the soft grass, as I listened to the gentle breeze and the rhythm of my steady breathing, I gently fell soundly asleep after that........
