The Protectors Hidden Pack

We seemed to walk forever...my feet ached and my wings begged me to be used....I could hear everyone's stomach growling at them, including my own. I looked around, searching for the nearest meat to hunt. I sensed a big animal, a deer! I crouched real low and crept as close as I possibly could get and hurled myself at the deer. Biting at its neck and thrusting it to the ground. Mare seconds later I hear my pack calling me. I grabbed my kill and dragged it to them. They were all baffled at my kill and let me call my potion of the kill for myself...and I gave the last of it to the pack. Later I got thirst and used my powers to pull water from the air and flowed its refreshing liquid into my mouth until my thirst was satisfied.... 

Later we walked on and came to a tall mountain, "Are you going to the top of that?" I asked Misty. He nodded. My wings flapped themselves, I had no control over then. But I held my ground--literally. "Shadow? what's wrong with your wings?" asked Golden-spear. Everyone stopped in their tracks.

"They beg me to fly....but I--

"Then fly already!!" said Misty.

"Huh?" I replied. "If your wings need it so badly then don't ignore them...besides we're all going to the same place, when you reach the top wait for us...and what ever you do don't go anywhere" He ordered. 

I nodded and let go of the ground and I shot 20 feet up into the cold air above within seconds. I flew freely as I knew how to and landed on the top of the mountain as Misty had said...A big, dark cave now stood before me, it made chills run up my spine. Fear entered my mind. I backed away from the cave not even giving a thought of entering...I backed into someone and spun around, only to face Misty and his pack. I sighed with relief. 

"What took you guys so long?" I smirked. "Sorry Shadow, didn't mean to leave you hanging.... " said Mitch. I watched as they ran into the cave and disappeared into its darkness. Everyone passed through it and soon me and misty were the last ones left to pass through. I gulped. 

"You coming Shadow?!" asked Misty as he stared at me. I trembled and stared at the cave. He approached me and came close to my face. "Hey, its OK...." he whispered breathing warm air in my ear. I shook and my body felt hot as he did this. I looked into his beautiful light greenish-blue eyes and love his smell. "I'll go, but only if you go with me...." I said as I stare at his paws. He nods and we go into the cave, and disappear into the darkness......
