Wild Child

The Prophecy

I can feel a familiar energy coming from deep inside the cave. Misty's pack waits behind us and he takes me into the cave. My eyes can not see with the blinding bright light of the cave they sting and ache as I continue through the cave with Misty. I can see a little better now that my eyes had adjusted. I front of me I see an old grey wolf covered in white and gold robe and crystal blue markings all over him. As I approach him the first thing I noticed were his eyes...they were grayish-brown and clear...I sensed that he was blind, but in here I believed he could see me. Misty bows at The Elder. 

"Misty...I trust you have brought someone new?" asked The Elder. 

"Yes Elder...." he says still bowing to him. The elder smiles and gets up from his clear crystal seat. He walks in front of us. My heart pounds in my chest with fear...I am afraid, but respect The Elder. Misty rises from the ground and stands back from me and The Elder. I look back at the elder who now has his eyes closed and is smelling the air around me. 

"Do not be afraid....what is your name?" spoke The Elder. 

"Shadow Sapphire Lotus..." I tell him. The Elder opens his eyes, causing my heart rate to increase again. 

"So Misty has put the rumors of our pack to rest? My dear child I sense something different in you then the rest of the wolves Misty has brought to me...there is a Prophecy Shadow, have you heard of it?" he says gently. 

"No..." I tell him. 

"Then I should have to tell you...." he says. He has me sit down and Misty stays too.

"Long ago there was one kingdom...and one ruler that kept everything in balance and harmony...she was called The Mother....she was the creator of everything, the ground, trees, and every living creature. But for there to be light there was also darkness, an evil darkness....The Destroyer, he grow jealous of the mother's power to create life...no able to leave the under ground he create the forest of darkness and sent his dark wolves after the mother to take her power for himself. In defense the mother created her The protectors...war was in the air our mother cried rain from her clouds as blood was shed and many wolves were lost years and years passed and she grow tired of war, she then created the mother's crystal...and contained all of her power into it so that she may rest forever....The mother stood on her cloud and showed it to the world and the destroyer for all to see. Then shattered it herself, disappearing all together...the destroyer, furiously had his dark wolves retreat back to his dark forest. The war had ended, but some time later The destroyer saw small traces of the mother power in the wolves litter of pups who were blessed with one of the mother's powers....he sent his dark wolves after that power, thus I sent my own protectors to retrieve them, give them all somewhere safe....the prophecy is that one will rise over the others with a power far more powerful then the rest and end the destroyer and his dark wolves thirst for power. " spoke the elder. I thought I understood... 

"But Elder, what does this have to do with me, aren't I like all the other here?" I asked. He chuckled and shook his head. 

"There's only one way to find out..." he said with a smile. 

"Close your eyes Shadow...." he told me. I closed my eyes and gasped when I felt his paw on my forehead, I trembled feeling a powerful feeling all around me. There was a release and I couldn't feel his paw on my skin anymore. I opened my eyes...but there was no one there. 

"What do you see?" called an echo of The elder's voice. I looked around, and saw.....I looked away. 

"What do you see, Shadow?" he repeated. 

"I see pain, suffering, sorrow, death, jealousy, hatred, a darkness...." I told him. "And what else do you see?" he asked. I forced my eyes open, looking around again. quickly closing my eyes again. 

"Light, kindness, love, life, understanding, happiness...." I told him. 

"Good, open your eyes..." he told me. I opened my eyes finding myself back in front of the elder and beside Misty. I felt tired and exhausted. 

"What was that?!" I asked stepping away from the elder. He said nothing. 

I suddenly then felt a sudden pain on my head. 

"AHHH!!!!!!!" I screamed holding my forehead as it throbbed, with excruciating pain. As I fall to the ground everything went black......
