The two twin boys were staring at each other, intensely. One with pastel blue hair, the other with pastel purple. "Prince Jimin, Prince Jihyun. His highness sent me to bring you back." A woman says in the doorway with her head bowed.
"The sooner you blink Jimin... the better." The pastel purple haired boy whispers, still staring with a grin growing on his face. "I love you, but I'm not giving you the last macaroon." Jimin whispers back widening his eyes slightly. The woman at the door cleared her throat with a cough and they both blinked. A tear that was caught in the corner of their eyes sliding down both of their cheeks.
Standing up they both reached for the macaroon. "You blinked first." Jimin says, nearly growling with widened eyes and a pout. "I didn't and I'm younger, so I need the nourishment." Jihyun says narrowing his eyes. "Felicia, you saw! Who lost?" Jimin asks with a pout finally looking at the woman in the doorway. "Prince Jimin, Prince Jihyun... his highness requested you come home. Your mother has gone into labor." Felicia says looking up with a sheepish smile.

When the twins ran into the room they were met with a scowl. An older man with pastel blue hair pursed his lips. "Where were you both?" The man asks looking between the two. "We-" Jimin started, but was cut off by Jihyun. "Father, we were in town visiting the subjects." Jihyun says, lying. Jimin shoots Jihyun a glare."Your mother is in labor and the physician just sent a nurse out. The baby is almost here! You two would have missed it, but if you were in town visiting with the people, then how can I be upset!" The king says with a smile, his eyes disappearing into crescents.
There was a buzz, then another. Jimin and Jihyun both took their phones from their pockets. "Father, the queens of both the Central and the Western kingdom have given birth-" Jimin started, but was cut off again. "To princesses!" Jihyun says looking up from his phone.
The three men smile. Their smiles bright and eyes sparkling. "What a joyous day! I- a princess hasn't been born in so long... we'll have to plan a celebration. Your mother will be thrilled!" The king says before he hugs the twins.
"Your highness." A nurse whispers. She emerged from the labor room followed by the physician. "Yes." The king says with a smile that only got brighter as he expected the gender of his child. Maybe the king of the East would be blessed and his queen would give him a daughter. Jimin and Jihyun stood behind the king, both equally excited.
"The queen-" The physician started. "Yes, can I see my newborn and the queen?" The king asks stepping closer.
"You can see them, but there's something you should know first your highness." The physician says almost whispering. The twins share a look.

When the three men are led into the room it's quiet. It's cold. Jimin is the first to look around, then he looks at his twin as they wait. They wait behind their father. "My darling wife." The king whispers with a shaky voice. The queen looks up into the king's eyes. The king's eyes filled with unshed tears. The queen is sitting on the side of the bed, looking at a bundle in a clear crib beside her."Mother." Jihyun whispers taking a step closer. Jimin grabs his arm and shakes his head. The queen looks up and back down at the bundle, with red eyes and tear stained cheeks as the king slowly approaches her. "My darling-" The kings says with tears spilling over, warm tears run down his cheeks. "I'm so sorry." The queen whispers with hoarse, shaky voice. The king says nothing, but gently pulled her into the warmth of his chest.
The twins leave the room and look at each other with tears threatening to escape their eyes. Jimin pulled his phone from his pocket, then immediately dropped his arm. The weight of the phone seeming like to much. Jimin looked up at the high ceiling, letting his tears flow and let a sigh escape his mouth.
The two twin princes hug each other. Their bodies shaking as they cried in the hallway.
