Taecyeon

Pops bursts into the room in a tracksuit, Daniel trailing behind. Taecyeon quickly gets up, bowing to the couple and rushing out of the room. "Oh my babies! Are you both okay?" Pops asks looking at the two. Daniel's eyes follow Trecyeon. Jihyun eyes Daniel for a moment. "We're fine. My little Haejin defended us." Christina says looking down with a sad smile. Jihyun watches Daniel leave the room after Taecyeon. "Oh baby. I know how much you care about those boys. What have the physicians told you anything about the boy?" Pops asks.

Pops sits down beside the two and they squish closer together on the small sofa. Jihyun snaps his head back, looking at Christina's body pressed against his. Christina giggles shyly at the contact and Jihyun's face goes red, he looks away. A small tone is heard and Jihyun stands up. "That's my phone. Excuse me." Jihyun says pulling his phone from his pocket. Jihyun moves to the door, to leave the room.

"And where were you when Haejin was stabbed?" A harsh voice asks. Jihyun furrows his eyebrows as he listens. "I was taking the king and queens purchases to their vehicle." Taecyeon whispers, barely audible. "Daniel and Taecyeon." Jihyun mouths looking through the small opening of the door. "Once again, he was hurt when it should have been you. You're so useless." Daniel says with a growl. "I'm sorry. I should have protected him. I'll do better." Taecyeon says with a shaky voice. Jihyun can hear the pain in Taecyeon's voice.

Daniel towers over Taecyeon's small frame. "You had better. How would your parents feel if they knew you weren't protecting him? His grandmother took you in and after everything, you aren't keeping her grandson safe. That was her last wish, wasn't it?" Daniel asks. Jihyun narrows his eyes and steps back from the door, then grabs the handle, jiggling it loudly. Daniel takes a step away from Taecyeon. "Taecyeon. Go back inside with Christina." Jihyun says looking only at Taecyeon, with a straight face.

Daniel and Taecyeon both bow, Taecyeon straightens his uniform and goes past Jihyun, back inside the office. Daniel smiles wide and starts walking into the office. Jihyun steps in front of him. "I'll reprimand mine and the queen's personal staff, it's not your job. You're here to serve Pops only. Don't let me find out you're speaking to my staff about anything unrelated to your job again." Jihyun says looking up into Daniel's eyes.

Daniel's smile never falls, he takes a step back and bows deeply. "Yes, of course your highness." Daniel says with a sickly sweet tone. Jihyun runs his hand through his hair and looks down at his phone. The screen of Jihyun's phone lights up and he puts it to his ear. "Namjoon hyung. What's the matter?" Jihyun asks.

Later that night the interviews all aired on different channels. The Marquees kingdom news, the dominion news, the world news and a few other smaller networks aired the interviews. "Marquees was truly blessed with king Park Jihyun. The new king of our kingdom says he'll make sure to get to know the lay of our land, before discussing any plans regarding anything new. He regarded the kingdom as beautiful and if I'm being honest, he and queen Christina are absolutely adorable together." A man on the television says.

Jihyun turns the television off and sits on a small sofa in his and Christina's bedroom. Jihyun leans forward with his elbows on his knees and he lets out a long sigh.

Christina comes into the room and pouts noticing Jihyun sitting, still in his clothes from earlier. "Jihyunnie. Where did you go? I thought you'd want to see Haejin." Christina says walking closer to Jihyun. Christina sits next to Jihyun. "Are you ok?" Jihyun asks looking up at Christina. "I'm ok. Haejin is out of surgery, he's still unconscious and he can have one visitor at a time." Christina says. Christina hesitantly places her hand on Jihyun's back and after a moment she slowly starts rubbing soothing circles on it.

Jihyun sighs, closing his eyes. "Christina. I need to tell you something." Jihyun says. Christina hums in response, but continues rubbing circles on Jihyun's back. "I have to leave and go back to the domain." Jihyun says looking up into Christina's eyes. Christina takes her hand away from Jihyun and puts her hands in her lap, looking down at them, with tears welling in her eyes. "W-why?" Christina whispers.
