Mama

After a few hours and after all the royal families have had a chance to spend time with Queen Jung. King Jung comes out and looks around at the royals. "Thank you all so much. Jess. Please come inside." King Jung says. Jess' eyes widen and she blinks a few times. "Yes your majesty." Jess says with a bow. Hoseok follows behind her, but his stopped by king Jung. "Just Jess." King Jung says flatly, not even sparing Hoseok a glance. "Why father? What's the matter?" Hoseok asks slightly annoyed.

"Just shut your mouth and stay here. It won't take long." King Jung says before going into the room and closing the door. Hoseok starts pacing, clenching and unclenching his fists. "Hyung. Stop. You need to calm down. Your gonna break stuff." Jin says with furrowed eyebrows and a nervous smile.

Hoseok looks up into Jin's eyes, not realizing he started a small earthquake, he takes a breath and the all the small vibrations stop.

Jimin is sitting with his mother and father, watching Jihyun hold baby Jungsoo. "She's definitely gotten cuter." Jihyun says with a smile looking down at the princess. Jimin giggles. "She was just a wrinkly baby just a week ago. She's pretty, huh Jihyunnie?" Jimin asks with a smile. Jihyun's smile falls and he looks up at Jimin with glare. Jimin flinches and looks down at his hands. Jungkook bites the inside of his cheek while he watches the twins.

The physician is walking down the hallway toward the group and Hoseok looks up from biting his nail. "It's almost time to induce the queen." The physician says with a sad smile. The physician had delivered his father, older sister and himself, so Hoseok understand from his red, puffy eyes, that he was struggling. "Thank you so much for everything so far. Please take care of her and make sure it goes smoothly." Hoseok says taking the physicians hand in both of his.

"Prince Hoseok. I wish I could have done more." The physician says, tears welling up in his eyes. "I know, but from what I understand, my mother was determined to have another baby. Just- please do your best, that's all I ask." Hoseok says with tears in his eyes.

The door to the queens room opens to reveal a teary eyed Jess and Hoseok rushes to her side. "Jess. Are you ok? What did my parents say?" Hoseok asks looking past her at his mother's room. "Please excuse me." Jess whispers, not taking her eyes off the floor. Hoseok looks at the maid confused. Jess' eyes meet Hoseok's and she lets a tear roll down her cheek, before she nearly runs down the hall, away from the group of royals, leaving Hoseok dumbfounded.

Hoseok looks over at his father, furious. "We're ready." King Jung says with his eyes fixed in the physician. Hoseok's glare doesn't let up as he watches the physician go into the room with several nurses and his father. "Everyone. Prepare yourselves." Hoseok says before entering the room with Dawon and Regan.

Nearly an hour passes and everyone is quiet, listening for any sounds of newborn cries. Jimin's pain medication made him sleepy, he tried to fight it, but he ended up falling asleep on Jungkook's shoulder. Taehyung is sitting across from them, cooing at the blue haired prince. "Yah. Jiminie hyung is really the cutest." Taehyung whispers taking a picture with his phone.

Jihyun coughs loudly, startling the sleeping prince awake. Jungkook and Taehyung both glare at Jihyun, he just snickers into his fist. "Jihyun. You-" Jungkook says before everyone stops. The door to the queens room opens and in a flash a few nurses rush past the group with Hoseok, going into another medical room. "Hyung?" Jimin says looking up at Hoseok.

Everything starts happening quickly, a few more nurses rush out of the room and join the few that went into the room with Hoseok before. The nurses all come out and a few seconds later there is an intense light coming from the crack under the door. "Somethings wrong." Yoongi says. Namjoon and Jin both stand by the door.

Namjoon puts his hand on the doors handle, waiting for the light to dim. Newborn cries start coming from the room Hoseok is in and Namjoon opens the door. The newborn cries are nonstop as Namjoon runs to Hoseok and the nurses run to the baby. "Are you ok?" Namjoon asks kneeling down beside Hoseok. Jungkook and Jin come into the room. The nurses all leave and walk into another room across the hall.

Hoseok stands up on shaky legs, wiping a small bit of blood from his lip. "You need to sit down for a minute Hobi." Yoongi says, worried. Jess is now standing in the doorway, tears no longer evident. "No. I need to say goodbye." Hoseok says with tears running down his face. Jess helps Hoseok to the queens room. Dawon is crying in Regan's arms. King Jung is smiling down at queen Jung and she's looking up at her husband with tired eyes.

"Come here my little sunshine." Queen Jung says with a strained voice. Hoseok's enter the room and Jess closes the door quietly, before standing in a far corner. "Hey mama." Hoseok whispers trying to hold back his tears as he reaches her bedside. "Look after your father for me, ok? Be a good boy and I believe in you, that you'll be a great king one day. Always follow your heart. Your heart is so kind and know this, I am so, so proud of you Hoseokie. I love you. My little sunshine." Queen Jung says stroking Hoseok's cheek with a smile.

Hoseok leans into his mother's warm touch, breathing in the smell of vanilla and lavender, putting his hand over hers. "I love you mama." Hoseok whispers before her small, frail hand falls from his.
