I calmly walked out of Kate's house and was walking back towards my house when, "Charles stop!" Kate yelled as she stormed out of her house running after me. I was about thirty yards away from her house already.
I turned around just in time to see Kate reach me. "Charles I'm sorry I..." Kate started. I was completely embarrassed by the whole event that just happened.
"No, no it's okay I mean..." even I didn't know what to say. "I'm sorry Kate whispered as she flung herself onto me in a hug. All I knew to do was just hug her back. After what seemed like forever I let go and I went back to my house and Kate to her's.
The next couple of days at school where a little awkward between us.
My birthday past and I was finally sixteen and I got my drivers license, I really didn't celebrate it much.
A the next day Kat finally walked up to me, "Charles we need to talk" she said. "What do you want to talk about?" I asked with obvious embarrassment and a hint of anger. " Charles just meet me after school like right after school" and of course like usual she walked away before I could say or ask anything.
I found out I had two more school projects today, but that was pretty much all that happened at school that day.
By the time I reached the double doors that led outside, someone pulled me aside. "Charles" Kate said. "Follow me" she said without any sound feelings in her words what so ever.
She grabbed my hand and before I knew it she was leading me into the woods next to the school.
Kate rushed into the small shady clearing. "We need to talk" she repeated. "Okay........"
"Charles I'm so sorry for what happened the other night" Kate said rushing a hug after those words. "Look listen" I began as she dug her head into my shoulder, " I know you like Rascal Flatts and I just so happened to have found two tickets for us" I explained as she nestled her head a little deeper into my shoulder. I could tell that she was crying a little because my shoulder was drenched.
"Oh Charles" Kate started, but couldn't continue. "Look I'll meet you at your house at six thirty okay tomorrow?" I explained and asked at the same time. " Okay" Kate mumbled she slowly lifted her head off my shoulder.
This time I led the both of us through the woods, holding Kate's hand as she used her other to wipe away the tears that where still on her face.
I led her to her house and stopped at the door. "I'll see you tomorrow then?" I guess I'll see you tomorrow then?" I asked. "It's a date" Kate whispered as she wiped away the last of her tears.
I gave Kate a little kiss (making sure that her dad wasn't around first) and I was off.
I was so happy that it was a Friday and that tomorrow would be a Saturday and I would be off of school and I would be able to take Kate to the concert.
