"He murdered Ko" I gasped. Rage, fear, and shock seized me. "He murdered Ko" I echoed, tears blurred my vision.
I shook Andrea and she fluttered her eyes open. Her desperate ocean blue eyes searched for answers in mine. Andrea's eyes began to water again as she comprehended the grief in my eyes.
"She's gone?" she murmured. She said it more like a question than an answer. I nodded and sobbed.
"No, No, No" she shook her head perpetually
"Shh Shhh" I soothed and hugged Andrea tight.
I held onto Andrea's arm as she attempted to stand again.
"Ray could still be here" We need to leave" I explained
"Ok" she nodded
As I began to fumble out of Ray's bedroom, Andrea stopped me and said "Re, we won't leave Ko here, will we?"
I hesitated for one moment but assured we wouldn't leave Ko there.
We approached Ko's limp figure, and I grabbed the arms while Andrea, the legs.
Our hands were drenched in Ko's blood and I looked at mine in despair. Andrea looked at me as if to say "Your ok". We staggered into the car and I began reverse gear out of the house's lot. I reverse geared into the street and I passed out.
Once I awoke, Ko sat on a red chair in front of me.
"Ko, you're alive" I breathed
"Yes, I'm alive" she laughed "Re, you okay?"
"I'm okay" I smiled.
"Okay," she laughed again.
"Oh God" Ko yelped
"What is it?" I asked
"It's the "Starbucks hottie!"
"Here?!" I asked
"No, in Mexico, DAH! he's at the cash register"
"I've got to admit, He's cute as hell" I smirked
"yes, and a jackass" she added
The "Starbucks hottie", Ray, caught Ko's eye and smiled
"He's heading towards us!" she squeaked "What the hell should I say?"
"I say beat the shit out of him for not calling you"
She rolled her eyes.
Ray strolled in a green t-shirt, blue shorts and white and orange striped flip flops, to our table
"Hi babe"
"Babe? Excuse me?" I intervened
"Shhh" Ko hissed
"Hi there" Charlotte smiled
"I thought you would call me?" she asked
" I meant to, I swear, I just...did not have time" He sighed
"You'll make it up to me won't you?"
"Oh Babe, I'm glad you asked, tomorrow, 8 pm, I'll send the address"
"I guess, I'll be there" she flirted
"No, Ko, don't agree" I yelled, "He will murder you!" I continued
Ko looked at me and said, " Ok Ali I won't agree".
" You and I are done," she said to Ray
'bitch" he mumbled and strolled out of the restaurant. the bells jingled as the exit door of the restaurant shut.
I smiled at Ko and squeezed her hand "I'm glad you're here"
"Are you sure you're ok?" she gave a laugh
"I'm superb".
"Breakfast's on me" she announced "Wait for me at the car"
"Ok," I nodded.
As I sauntered out of the Pancake house and out in the desiccate summer air, I heard sharp screams and wails originate inside the restaurant. I ran inside to check out the cause of the screams. I gasped and fell to the floor. Ko's limp figure lay on the red and white checkered floor beside the cash register, in a river of blood.
"No!" I gasped. "No, No, No, How can it be, Ray left" I sobbed
"How can it be? how can it be?". The thought played in a constant loop in my head.
