"I won't let myself be broken by fear, I won't be stripped of love," I said defiantly

"That's why I wanted to have our date here, to prove that we write our own fair. We write our own book." I continued "In the same place, I lived my worst moment, I'll live my happiest".

"Let us drink to us then" she announced, unscrewing the lid of a Montoya Cabernet and pouring each of us a glass of it. "You brought the appetizers, I brought the wine"

"Andrea, You shouldn't have done that! It's expensive!" I protested

"Nothing's expensive when it comes to you" she whispered softly, making a few black strands of my hair fly.

"Ok, fine" I sighed in surrender "But I brought the pizza!" I exclaimed ad opened a "Samantha G's pizza & more" pizza box to reveal large Pineapple and ham pizza.

Andrea laughed "That's where it all began"

I nodded "Yep, that's where it all began" "For the best and the worst" I murmured, twirling a lock of Andrea's luscious golden hair around my finger.

As night fell soon upon us, Andrea proposed for us to stare at the stars.

"I would like that" I nodded in agreement. I stood up and stretched my hand out for Andrea to grab one. She grabbed it and I pulled her up to her feet.

We pushed the wooden ladder against the hole and we climbed up it into a sky of darkness light up by billions of shining stars.

"That tree!" Andrea beamed

"What about it?" I asked

"Let's climb up it" she suggested

"Climb up it?"

"It doesn't seem to hard to do" she continued "You  just have to reach that branch, and from there stretch you're legs to the one above it and straddle it" she explained, gesturing to the different branches

"I don't know. I'm kinda afraid of heights" I argued

"Come on you gave me that whole speech earlier on not giving in to our fears" she insisted  "Common, are you really going to give in to your fear of heights, you've faced much worse" she scoffed

"You've got a point" I shrugged

"I've got an excellent point" she grinned and extended her hand to me "Common, as Bill McConnel said "It's hard to live on the edge all the time when you're afraid of heights, You do it anyway because you'll never find a better view" "

I took Andrea's hand and gave it a squeeze. "Okay" I gave in.

We walked to the tree and I looked up it shakily

"It's not that tall" "It's only thirty cm about to the first branch you can sit on" Andrea assured

Shakily, I grabbed onto a thin branch at the foot of the tree to push myself up near the next branch

"You've got it!" she yelped

I turned and smiled back at her, I lost balance and plummeted to the grass.

"Ugh," I moaned and struggled to stand up again.

Andrea rushed to me

"You okay?" She asked

"I'm fine" I smiled "Perfectly fine"

"Ice?" she asked as she handed an ice bag to me

I laughed "We'll make use of the ice after all"

I took it from her hand and placed it on my right shoulder which ached

I stood up and headed to the tree again
