Jungkook POV

A few hours has passed. Here I am at the hospital café, looking down at the cup of my coffee, while the woman infront of me attached her gaze towards me. She took a deep breathe and released it several times, trying to calm down her nerves and holding herself to stop crying.

I look at her. Her dark orbs were blazing at me, signing that she was speechless and struck by endless anger.

It was the woman that I've been accompanying for the last few hours.

Her best friend, Ha Dam.

"I....I don't know what to do." she breathed out as she shifted her gaze somewhere, with a blank empty expression.

Her eyes were swollen, her voice is cracking.
A tear escaped from the corner of my sore eyes. I wiped it quickly and pretend to be okay. I cleared my throat and let out a small forceful laugh,

"I guess you're trying to prevent yourself for not chopping my thing down there." I said as I jokily look down.

"Even by doing that still wasn't enough."

"Yeah, I know." I said as I keep playing with the handle of my cup.

A moment of silence strikes the both of us. We were too deep, sinking in our own thoughts.

"I still can't believe this. It's really happening to her..." she said as she shook her head and covered her face with the palms of her hands.

"She only got me and Taehyung back then. Nobody really be there for her except us. Now Tae's gone, haven't been replying her messages nor mine. There's only me left, I'm the only one she got. Yet, I still can't believe I let my bestfriend ended up here..."

"You know it's not your fault." I said as my voice cracked.

She shot her head up to me as she started to cry again, quietly.

"It is, Jungkook."

"I knew by her trauma, it's gonna find a way by itself to make her ended up here. You're the source of her pain and so toxic, yet, I still let her be with you. I should've do something with it long ago but that stubborn girl keeps begging me to stop. She tells me that she always told herself to maybe not fight for you again, she just wanted to to hold on, to get what the both of you wants...to end the marriage."

"She never had the smallest intention to hurt you, but you don't even realize-- "

Ha Dam paused, she looks somewhere else to hold in her tears.

"Jungkook, you keep on hurting her..."

I look down, feeling my heart stabbed by a million of arrows. I can felt it stopped for a while, I even let out a cough on how much the pain gets into me. I just keep on gathering strength to feel alive while my mind keeps chanting her name.

Her.

Her name is the only way I can find my comfort and peace.

"You even hurt her more when you developed your feelings for her, and ended up falling for her. I still remember the night that we talk throughout the phone, when you gone crazy searching for her--tell me that all you want is to protect and be the man for her. Ah seriously, I still can't believe my stupid self let you do that!" she continues as she raised her voice.
