I eventually return home, saying goodbye to Michael and making plans with him for tomorrow. He taught me a lot. I now know transmutation and weather manipulation. I walk in the door and greet Cordelia and Zoe.
"Hello, (Y/N). What were you practicing?" Cordelia asks. I tell her I've discovered two new gifts, to which she asks me to demonstrate. I first conjure up a light snowfall in the room, clouds forming at the top of the room and a light flurry begins to fall from them. Cordelia stares in wonder, then asks to see my other new ability.
"It's not anything special but," I pause, appearing behind her. "It's something."
"Transmutation," Zoe says. "One of the seven wonders."
"I don't quite understand. How did you just learn this now with no help from us?" Cordelia asks me. "Did you teach yourself?"
"No, actually. A boy helped me. He could manipulate weather," I explain to her. Zoe and Cordelia look at each other, confusing me. Cordelia speaks to me again.
"Well, I would love to meet this boy. He clearly shows some magical ability. Perhaps he would be willing to join the warlocks. Do you know when you will see him again?" I nod and tell her I'll see him tomorrow. She wants for me to invite him into the school to chat, which I agree to ask him about. "Well, for now why doesn't Zoe attempt teach you Concilium?" Zoe ushers me out into a different room.
She stops and stands directly across from me. Suddenly, I begin to spin around and around without wanting to. Zoe laughs a little before she stops and I fall to the ground.
"That," she walks over, helping me up, "is Concilium. Its basically mind control." I brush off the hem of my white dress. She moves across the room from me and stands there. "Now, picture me performing an action in your mind." I look at her, nothing happening.
"Zoe, I... I can't," I state. My hand flies up and hits my face.
"Hit me back!" She yells, clearly trying to agitate me. She narrows her eyes again and my hand hits my face again. "Come on, (Y/N)!" I look at her, and command her to sit on the floor. "You didn't want to hit me back?" She asks, shocked.
"Not really, no," I shrug and sit on the couch.
"You're a little odd, but I like it. Honestly, you're too nice for your own good, (Y/N)," she laughs. "So now that you know you can do Concilium, try to make me do something else." She stands suddenly and begins to twirl around and around until she collapses, just as I had. I help her up and she sits down on the couch. "I think its safe to say you have it under control."
I nod my head. "Thanks, you know, for teaching me." Zoe smiles and nods. Cordelia then calls all of us to dinner where I take a seat next to Zoe and Mallory. The fellow students file in and sit down, chattering among themselves. Once Cordelia stands and clears her throat, the girls immediately quiet down.
"Good evening girls," she smiles at all of them, "I want to introduce you to (Y/N), a new witch we have invited into our school." All of their eyes fall on me and I smile awkwardly. "She holds immense power that the coven will greatly benefit from. Why don't you tell them what we found out you could do in the backyard?" I stand, all of their eyes shifting to me.
"I instantly grew a garden of roses," I say. Cordelia tells me to say what happened next. "After that I turned them into a lamb." A bit of chatter begins as I say this. Cordelia asks me to show them something small. I do my go to demonstration with the flower and the hummingbird and earn the smiles of a lot of my classmates.
"What else can she do?" One of them asks Cordelia.
"Her other currently known abilities are Concilium, Weather Manipulation, and Transmutation."
"She learned all of that already?" Another calls out. Cordelia nods.
"She's a very promising student."
