"Stop crying and set the table!" The orphanages caretaker yells at me. I grow a flower in my palm to place into the vase centerpiece.

"Freak!" A girl yells at me, all of the other girls in the orphanage look up and stare at me in disgust. "She grew plants out of her skin!" She yells. They all run away, leaving me alone. Abandoned.

"No! I didn't mean to! Come back!" I cry out, hating myself for being caught using my powers. I begin to cry uncontrollably.

"Nobody would ever accept you, (Y/N)" Cordelia and Mallory say in unison. I felt my heart sink more and the pain sets in.

"Freak," Zoe remarks, laughing

MICHAEL
The clock begins to empty. (Y/N)'s time is almost up. I can't believe Cordelia put her up to this. She'll be gone in a matter of minutes.

"(Y/N)! (Y/N) please! Please wake up!" Cordelia cries, her eyes welling up with tears. Zoe and Mallory begin to tear up as well. I begin to feel my heart race and my face heat, knowing damn well this could have been prevented. Eventually, the hour glass runs out, and (Y/N) becomes nothing but dust and a memory.

I sit there, unmoving. Zoe and Mallory send me looks of sympathy, but it doesn't do anything to relieve the pain I feel. While Cordelia is sobbing over the "remains" of the girl, Zoe walks up to me.

"I'm so sorry, Michael. I know how much she meant to you," she sighs.

"I knew she couldn't get through this test! A creature like her doesn't belong in hell! She's too innocent to question if the world around her was real!" I yell, earning eyes from the supreme.

"I'm sorry Michael, I truly thought she was my successor," Cordelia mumbles, guiltiness in her voice. Too angry to respond, I storm out of the house and begin to run. I don't know where, but to somewhere. Eventually I end up on the hill that we love- loved, so much. Something overtakes me and I lay down, beginning to chant and then yelling, "DESCENSUM!"

I end up walking through a dark hall, doors lining the walls on either side. I eventually reach it. The door. I turn the doorknob entering the room where she was, crumpled and lying on the ground, surrounded by tears.

"Nobody would ever accept you, (Y/N)" Cordelia and Mallory scoff, walking away and leaving her behind. A fear of abandonment.

"Freak!" Zoe yells at her, spitting on her collapsed figure. She looks up and her swollen and tear filled eyes meet mine.

"Oh, not you too, Michael," she sobs, not even looking at me. I kneel down and hold her hand.

"I'm real, (Y/N)," I tell her calmly. I help her stand, and begin to walk her to the door when a lady appears and begins to yell at her. I lift my hand and set her on fire, (Y/N)'s eyes widening and becoming horrified. "It's okay, (Y/N), she's not real. I'm getting you out of here." She nods her head, still dazed from everything and links arms with me, following me back home.

I wake up gasping on a hill, my eyes darting around, looking for her. She's nowhere to be found. I start to cry, but stop when dust begins to take a shape next to me. Hers. Before I know it, her eyes flutter open and she jolts up, gasping.

"(Y/N)!" I cry, immediately pulling her into an embrace. "You really fucking scared me." She tightens her arms around me as she begins to break down. I can't help but cry too, holding her tighter and kissing the top of her head, just to make sure she's real.

"I guess I'm not the supreme," she says, her voice shaking. I can't help but laugh, tears still falling from my eyes.

"I guess not. But, honestly, I don't think that really matters right now," I tell her. "Listen, I think it would be good if you stayed with me tonight, I need time to figure out how I brought you back and Cordelia is going to ask a lot of questions." She nods understandingly.

"I didn't know that was possible."

"Honestly, (Y/N), I didn't either."
