"Welcome, (Y/N), to your new home" Cordelia smiled. "Its an honor to have a witch of your talent here. I can sense the energy from you," she paused in thought. "Its unlike anything I've ever seen before."
"I'm sorry, Miss, I am new to the whole 'witch' thing. I don't quite know what I'm capable of."
"Well," she lets a warming smile appear on her face, "I guess thats why you're here. Show me what you know." I nod my head, thinking of what I could do. For the first ability I demonstrate, I lifted my bare palm. Cordelia looked at me in confusion, then I closed my eyes. A stem grew out of it, eventually blossoming a daisy.
"How lovely," she smiles. I nod and pluck the daisy from my hand, closing my fingers around it. A bright white glow appears from inside my fist. When I let go, a small hummingbird flies out, hovering around the flowers in my hair.

"She definitely has potential," a girl with long brown hair says, turning to me. "I'm Zoe. I'll help you get settled. Shall we go to your room?"
I nod, following her up the stairs.
"So," I begin trying to make conversation, "How did you discover your powers?" She stifles an embarrassed laugh.
"I, um, had sex with my ex-boyfriend and he, uh, he died," she says awkwardly. "What about you?"
"My story was no fun either, not as graphic though. My mom abandoned me in some woods, and I noticed a dying doe. The poor little thing was on the ground, a gash on its ribcage, so I helped it."
"And how'd you do that?"
"I felt this, cathartic power flow through me, if that makes sense. I simply put my hands on the infliction and willed it away. The deer sprang up and sat with me for a while while I picked at the clovers and hepaticas until she lead me through the woods to a town, where we split ways." Zoe's smile grew with the ending of my story.
"If you learned how to do all of that by yourself, I look forward to seeing what you will learn in the near future. Come downstairs when you are done settling in. Theres a girl here I think you should meet."
