Chris.
                              "Sss ow Chris it hurts!"
"I know baby, I know. We almost there, just uh... just breathe for me okay?"
"Nigga you breathe! I am breathing!" Riley snapped. the entire ride in the ambulance was Hades. I thought I couldn't wait to experience the entire process of labor and childbirth since I didn't with Nia when Royalty was born, but the way Riley acting I think I could have passed on this. I'm definitely not doubting her pain, because I know if pushing one baby out was agonizing then two gotta be a bitch, but the bipolarness I'm getting hit with ain't the move.
We finally reached the hospital and the paramedics rushed a wheelchair over to me. I helped Ry carefully guide herself on the chair as she heaved rapidly. "I can't believe this is happening." She managed to say once I returned from telling the nurse at the front desk what happened. "I'm only seven months why am I in labor?"
"It could just be another false labor, baby. Didn't it happen before?"
"Yea but something about this time is... different. Chris what if something's really wrong with Noah or Nayeli? Or both? Or all of us? I shouldn't be going into labor two months early!" She heaved and placed a hand on her stomach. "I don't wanna lose them Chris! Are we gonna lose them?" Ry asked in a panic. I grabbed both of her hands, which were shaking uncontrollably. "Riley don't think like that. I walked in with three extra people and I'm walking out with the same three people, in or out the belly. You just gotta calm down baby."
"Don't tell me to calm down Chris, I can't calm down!" She managed to say. "Oh my god I'm so scared. I'm so fucking scared!"
I looked over at Riley and noticed her breathing sped up and tears were now forming in her eyes. The shaking of her hands was still turbulent and sweat was beginning to show up on her face. I know a panic attack when I see one, and it don't take an expert to know Riley was in the middle of one herself. I got up and pushed Riley up to the front counter. "How can I help you?"
"Uh yea I know I just checked in about two minutes ago but is there a way you can get us in a delivery room ASAP? I believe my fiancée is going into labor and she's having a panic attack right now."
"I'm sorry sir but we can only call you back by first come first serve and the severity of your situation. If your fiancee's life is not in danger then you have to wait until her name is called." The nurse explained not once looking up.
"With all due respect, miss, I would have to say all three of their lives are in danger. See she's seven months pregnant with twins and sh—"
"If she is not bleeding externally or on the floor fighting for her life then both you and your fiancée will have to wait your turn like everyone else does in America."
"Riley Novak?" A doctor from the back announced. Thank God; any longer would've gotten this bitch shot. I wheeled Riley behind the doctor and followed him into the elevator, to the NICU ward, and into a delivery room.
"Is this your first pregnancy?" The doctor asked.
"I fucking look twelve what do you think!?" Ry snapped, breathing still heavy and face still sweating bullets.
"Baby please don't curse the man ou—"
"Nobody was talking to you, Christopher!"
The doctor laughed and shook his head. "Very common with women in labor. I'm used to it, don't take it personal." Alright Miss Novak I'm gonna need you to take everything off and change into this gown and I'll be back to check your vitals." The doctor—whose name was Dr. Garrett explained. Once he left the room I carefully helped Ry out of her plane fit and into the hospital gown and onto the bed then sat down in the visitors' chair myself.
