Riley.
I damn near pissed myself awake at the sound of my phone blaring near my face. I stopped my fourth alarm this morning and dragged my still very tired self out of bed to go and feed Noey and Ny. They had their six AM diaper change, and now it's time for breakfast—for all three of us. After making and testing their bottles on my wrist, I went into the nursery, triggering a cry from Noah, in which he triggered one from Nayeli. I sucked my teeth and picked the both of them up cautiously, sitting in the nearby rocking chair. "Y'all know these bottles ain't for me so what y'all crying for?" I asked as if they would respond. I set Noah's bottle on my cheek and used my hand to feed Nayeli. When you become a mother of two you discover talents you didn't even know you had.
While they feasted, I checked my new text messages on my phone with my free hand.

Okay. 8:13AM
I scrolled through Twitter while I waited for the twins to finish their bottles. It's been a few days since the whole Chris and Keith situation and even though we were highly pissed off at both the incident and each other, it surprisingly didn't agg either of us for long. Since we're both horribly stubborn people though, the house has been exceptionally quiet besides small talk here and there. Neither of us have uttered an I'm Sorry, but he's still my boo and I wasn't gonna let him starve or sleep on the couch because of the whole thing, especially being that I was in the wrong with some of my words and actions as well.
Noah finally caught up with Ny and finished his bottle. I burped the both of them and placed them back in their cribs to eat. After making Chris and myself two bacon egg and cheese biscuits each, I put his in the microwave and finished mine at the dining table. Once I were done with my meal I grabbed my lil ones from their nursery and went back into our bedroom. I sat them on either side of me and lied on my stomach, pressing the FaceTime button under Reagan's contact.
"Hey sis." She greeted once the call connected.
                              "Hey big head, whatchu doing?"
She flipped the camera to our parents, who were cuddling on the couch and watching what looked to be Black Panther. "Ma, Daddy." She called. They looked her way and at the camera. I smiled and waved.
"Hey Sunshine!" Daddy waved. "Where's my grand babies?"
I sucked my teeth. "Wooow y'all literally don't care about me no more. Y'all know they wouldn't be here if it wasn't for me, right?"
"Aw you know we care about you, RyRy. You just gave us our first grandchildren so we're still very excited." My mom assured.
"Yea yea. What y'all doing? I miss y'all."
"We miss you too. Been watching movies with the ladies all day. Still feels weird being the only guy now." Daddy said.
"Yea," I agreed, reminiscing on the movie days and nights we used to have with each other before Raheem passed. "Well in three days you'll have another lil soldier there with you."
