chapter six

Layla's POV

When I woke up in the morning my eyes felt like they had sand in them. I got dressed and headed to the lounge. When I got there I seen other wolves so I tried to leave unnoticed, but one of them seen me and called my name. When he got to me he told me that his name was Due and that he was Xavier's beta. He was big built like Xavier and handsome to, his T-shirt was so tight around his arms....

He held my hand in his own as he walked me further into the lounge, he introduced me to the other pack members in the room. Then Xavier came down stairs just to ruin the atmosphere. He was walking hand in hand with his mistress Nisha, I ignored them and continued talking to Due and the others. Due was very funny as well as charming. Due had told me that Xavier had allowed me to talk to him.

Xavier came to stand next to me and he held his mistress round her waist.

Xavier's POV

"Whats going on here?" I asked with a growl in my voice because Layla was laughing and joking around with other wolves even my very own beta Due.

I was talking when I noticed that Layla had shifted away from me and had now moved more towards Due. This made me so angry.

Dues POV

"Oh morning love birds," I greeted Nisha and Xavier, but only Nisha smiled back at me Xavier just stared at Layla. After a while we all went our separate way.

Layla's POV

After that talk with everyone earlier, I needed some fresh air so I left to take a walk around the pack territory. Xavier and his beta were training with the rest of the warrior wolves, Nisha had gone into town to do some shopping.

As I walked I met and spoke to other pack members.

Yet again my mind was in the clouds that I didn't notice a car driving my way. By the time I noticed it, it was already so close I stood frozen in one place.

Suddenly I was grabbed into someone's arms as he jumped and moved both of us out of the way. I had my eyes closed ready for impact. Then I heard Xavier's voice demanding that the driver of the car be brought to him immediately.

I opened my eyes slowly, if Xavier wasn't the one holding me then who was? When I opened my eyes I just saw huge arms and a firm chest, I was still in the persons arms so I cleared my throat to try and notify him that he was still holding me and I'd like to be let go now.

I heard him chuckle and then he let me go he was gorgeous. Everyone in this pack seemed to be so huge and handsome, his eyes were grey in color, his smile was just so attractive. He was way taller then me. I didn't notice that I was staring till he giggled and asked if I liked what I was looking at, but before I could answer I was yanked roughly till my back hit a chest behind me.

Xavier's POV

I had seen Layla walking around, she was just talking to other pack members so I continued with my training. Then I heard people shouting Layla's name, when I looked back at Layla I seen a car heading straight for her . It didn't seem like the driver was going to stop. Then one of my strongest warrior wolves Lycan grabbed her out of the way of the moving vehicle. I was fuming that the driver could be so careless, that I sent warriors to bring the driver to me.

When I turned back to Layla I seen her smiling at Lycan and her eyes were sparkling like crazy, like she had just seen a God or something. I got so mad or was it jealousy that I acted without thinking I rushed over and pulled her to me. As if I was trying to tell Lycan to back off.

Layla left after she noticed I was the one that pulled her close and we all went back to training.

That night well everyone was gathered to eat, Layla went into the kitchen. I left her and continued to eat and yes talk to Nisha. After awhile I heard Layla laughing from the kitchen, I needed to know who was making her laugh.

So I made up an excuse and went to the kitchen. My eyes moved over all the heads of the servants that were eating. When they noticed me they stopped talking as well as eating. Accelia stood up to ask if I needed anything however I didn't answer. Finally I spotted her, she was seated in the far corner of the room talking to one of the pups and laughing.

I slowly moved towards her.

Layla's POV

I had been invited by Accelia or Lia as I called her for short. She invited me to join her and her friends for supper.

I was laughing with the pups when suddenly I felt the presence of my mate.
So I turned around and there he was.
