chapter seven

Xavier's POV

As Layla was making here way passed me I grabbed her hand and pulled her towards me. When she was standing in front of me I placed my head on her stomach and held her tightly by wrapping my hands round her tiny waist and locking my fingers together so she couldn't run away. At first she stood frozen in place but then she lifted her shaky hands and started running them through my hair, I felt so at peace in her arms. She was so gentle and loving even after all she's been through.

We were in our own world that we didn't even notice Nisha watching us from upstairs.

Nishas POV

When he brought that she wolf to eat with us at the main table my blood started to boil, then the idiot let her sit at the head of the table, like really what was he thinking?
I left the table and he didn't even look at me, he didn't even acknowledge me the least bit.....

Now he was holding her in his arms!!!!
My Xavier was holding that twig in his arms, I just couldn't understand this she wasn't even that pretty. She was as skinny as a twig and she was just damn well annoying....

Layla's POV

When Xavier pulled me and held me, my wolf communicated with me telling me that our mate had something on his mind that he was probably hurting about something,  so I ran my hands through his hair to try and calm my mate down and it worked he wasn't so tense and his breathing was calmer.

He started rubbing circles on my back with his thumb,  his face was buried in the T-shirt I wore. I felt tense at first but now I felt safe and happy in the arms of my mate. I gathered up the courage to lift his head so that he was looking at me. He didn't fight me at all, his eyes met mine and I just stared into his. I smiled at him and for once I actually seen him smile back which made my tummy feel funny. He held my hand in his own and we walked to my room in silence but it was a nice kind of silence.

Xavier's POV

We were walking to her room, her small hand was holding mine back and she wasn't even trembling or flinching away from me. She was actually smiling and slightly swinging our hands, I couldn't help smiling at her.

When we got to her room I closed the door. When I turned around she was sitting on her bed flipping through the channels. I was shocked when she smiled at me and patted the bed, I went to sit next to her and soon we were watching some cartoon.....I haven't watched cartoons in years and here I was watching one.

After a while I was killed with laughter. I turned back and seen my little Layla laughing to, she was covering her mouth with one hand and the other held her stomach. She was really so cute my little Layla.

We sat there watching the cartoon, we even spoke a little. Then Layla's head fell onto my shoulder,  when I slowly turned to look at her I seen she was out cold. I found myself smiling like an idiot at my small mate.

I put her to lay down on her pillow. I looked down at her sleeping form and placed a soft kiss on her forehead before I headed to my room and yes Nisha questioned where I'd been I lied and mind linked Due to tell her that I'd been with him. I had to promise to tell him the truth later though.

Layla's POV

When I woke up in the morning I was so happy I kept thinking about how my mate the alpha had been so gentle with me.

I walked outside, but someone was trying to mind link with me. I allowed it and when I found out who it was I couldn't stop smiling. It was Xavier:)

Xavier's POV

I was accepted to mind link with her." Hey how can you just let anyone mind link with you don't you know its dangerous? Don't you do that again. Also today keep your head out of the clouds and watch where you going stay in pack boundaries. I'm by the training area if you need me."
