Hiding Love

PART TWO•CHAPTER TWO

                            NEW YEARS

                (New Year's Eve, 11:00pm)

I'm crying. Today is the day I have to break up with my love. Dirk walks into my room. "Sarah, what's wrong?." "Puberty." I Blurted out. "Oh, I'll let you uh...be then." Dirk left my room. My phone is ringing, I check the time, it's 11:30. Brenda is calling me. I pick up. "Me and Derrick are on vaca but happy new year gurrrrrrrrrrrl XOXO" "Thanks." I hung up. I dig my face into my pillow and sob. Zack comes into my room with Nick, my dad, and my mom. "Hey, you going to watch the ball drop with us??" Zack asked. "Yeah, I'll erm, be there erm...in five minutes... I just need to do something. "Ok." Mom said. "Well, the ball is going to drop in ten minutes so... make it quick." Dad said."Whatever it is you have to do, I'm here if you need me." Nick said, hugging me tight. "Get your filthy hands off my daughter. Nick rolls his eyes and leaves my room. "Hey, good luck, whatever this is, ok?" Zack said.  "Ok." I said. Zack left my room. "Honey, if something's not right then you can tell me, ok?" Dad Said as he stroked my arm and winked at me then left. "I'm fine." I Said, lying to his face. "Ok." He said, then he left my room. Now it's just me, alone on my room.  (11:53pm) he's not answering, probably with his family. Guess I have to leave a message. Hey Cane, I feel like we're not working out, we need some space, I'm breaking up with you, you deserve someone better than me. You're perfect, you're flawless. I love everything about you. Admit it, you're the best guy out there, who deserves someone better than me. I love you, bye." I break into tears. "The ball drops in 6minute sweetie!" My dad screamed from the living room. "Yeah, I'll be right there!" I Said. I look up and there is Zayne standing at the doorway of my room with a hand on his hip and the other hand leaning on the wall. He furrows his brow and looks at me. "Let me guess, you waited until the last minute to breakup with Cane. He sneaks onto my bed. "Oh Sarah, you're a naughty naughty girl." He brings my head up with his cold hands. He kisses me on my neck a few times, then kissed me on my jaw, then my cheek, then my lips. I try to push him off me but he's pinning me down to the bed, he cuffs me to the bed board and sits on top of me, he then puts a gag in my mouth so I can't speak. I try to scream but I can't be heard. He takes advantage of me, right then and there... i develop bruises, black and blue and choke marks on my throat. I scratch his back with my nails trying to make him bleed, hoping he gets off me. It felt like the longest five minutes of my life. Then he finally gets off me, leaving belt marks on my waist. "I know you won't tell a soul, Sarah, because I know you're the quiet type..." Zayne said smirking at me, he hits my face one more time then leaves my room. I need to clean up myself before anyone notices. I put makeup on to cover things up.  I take a deep breath in, and head out my room, into the party. Zayne smirks at me like a snake would smirk at a mouse. "Where are you going?" He asked. "Just getting some punch." I Said. I meet near the punch bowl with Dirk. "So... what was he doing in your room? The ball is about to drop." Dirk said. "Do you really have to know?" I asked. "Yes, Tell me." Dirk said. Zayne acts like his cup has something in it and raises it to his mouth, and raises one eyebrow with one hand on his hip. "Oh, um, he was just helping, saying the ball was gonna drop soon." I said. "Mhm, ok." Dirk Said. "It's true." "Yeah, whatever..." He said. "Where's my mom and dad? "They're upstairs celebrating." Dirk said. "Ew." The ball drops soon. I'll get them. We start the count down.

(A moment later)
