PART TWO•CHAPTER FOURTEEN

"You look like you're having a bad day" Nick said. "Yep." I said."remember yesterday?" He asked. "No" "I figured" he said. "Let me guess, you woke up next to the pool boy." He said. "Nice try, but it was the corny cop" I said. He laughed. "Even better" he said. "Finished laughing?" I asked him as I crossed my arms. "Yep" "need a ride?" He asked. "Yep" I said. "Get in" he said as he walked me to his shitty Toyota. "Hear from Derrick?" He asked me. "Brenda said he has a stomach virus before she kissed my boyfriend..." I said as I rolled my eyes and continued to smoke my cigarette. "That's why you were so drunk, shit I'm sorry but I told you so." He said. I rolled my eyes. He wrapped his arms around me. "Hey, don't be sad though, he's the one missing out." He said. I looked at him. "What?" He asked. "Nothing, that's just what Dirk said to me before he died..." I said as I looked at my feet. "Well he's right, the music man is fucking you up in the head. He's No bueno for you. You know what they say... never date a band boy." Nick said as he looked out his window.

"Hm?" He said. "Nothing." I said. I sigh and we reach the apartment. I walk into my bedroom on my dad with his tongue down some girls throat. I scream and start crying. Just when I thought life couldn't get any worse...my dad is cheating on my mom. I call Brenda. She doesn't pick up her phone so I call Nick. "Hey Nick, I know I sound crazy but you need to pick me up! Will you?" I asked. "Why what happened? Are you hurt?" He asked. "JUST PICK ME UP!" I said. "On my way." He said. "HURRY!" I said. I get in Nicks car and I slam the door. "Are you okay? Is something wrong? What happened? What is it?" He asked as he bombarded me with questions. "Just drive me away from this hell hole, as far away as you possibly can. Maybe off the face of the Earth." I said "let's go to Russia! That's where my grandpa lives..." Nick said. "Um no" I said. Nick shrugged. "I-I-I-I" I hesitated. "Spit it out!" Nick said. "It's hard to!" "I-I- caught my dad screwing Cane's sister on my bed!" I said. As I started crying. "Don't you have a dance recital tonight? You can talk with them. Your recital is in an hour." Nick said. "I'll pick you up right after." Nick said. "My life is slowly falling apart" I said as I started sobbing. "We should head back, you might just make it." He said. I start sobbing. Nick drops me off and speeds away. I get to the dance place.
(1 hour later)

"You girls did great" I said.
"Hi Sarah. I know her." Caroline said as she stood with the group of girls that are her age.
"Hey" I said as I waved at her
"Is it my turn to preform?" I asked. "Yes, you're doing a solo right?" Skylar asked. "Yes." I said. "You go girl! Good luck!" Skylar said. "Thanks, I'll need it"
I walked away and got changed into a big white gown which was my costume. My background is royal balcony. I'm supposed to be a swan princess. The audience pauses and watches me. My mom's there, Caroline is there, Cane is there, and his crazy ex is there, his sister Samantha who was just sleeping with my dad is there, Brenda is there, Julian the cop is there, Derrick is there, Dave the janitors is there,dad's friend is there. I scan the audience with my eyes. The crowd has many faces but my dad isn't one of them. I know a lot of people who are here. WHAT THE FUCK? WHAT IS ZAYNE DOING HERE!? Skylar starts the music. I start ballet dancing to the music. I jump and spin and twirl my heart out. Some people started to cry, others started to cheer. "So beautiful" someone mumbled. My eyes were on Cane the whole time...Cane starts to cry. I can tell he misses me after we went our separate ways. I gracefully spin onto the floor and I tip toe and the music stops and the curtains closed. I get off stage. "You did great!" Skylar said. "Thanks." "I'd stay but I got to g-" Caroline interrupts me. "My uncle got you a flower. Here you go." She hands me a fuchsia colored flower. "Thanks." I said, smiling at her. "You're welcome." She said as she skipped away. I sit here looking at it in my hand. "Something wrong?" Skylar asked. "I broke up with Cane." I said. "Oh, I'm sorry about that...then why did he give you a flower?" She asked. "I don't know." She hugs me. "You look great by the way." Skylar said. "Need a ride?" She asked. "No, thanks though. For the hug and the compliment." "Mhm" she said. I change out of my costume. "I have to go, uhh bye." I said smiling at Skylar. "Bye!" She said as I walked away.
Skylar's POV
I feel bad for her, stay strong Sarah...
Sarah's POV
"You did great." Nick said with a smile. "Who got that flower for you?" He asked. "Cane." I said. "OOF!" Nick said as he laughed. "Lower your voice!" I said.  "OOF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Nick shouted at the top of his lungs. I giggle. He's such an asshole. We make our way to the parking lot.  I get in Nicks car. I start to pick the pedals off the flower. He loves me. He loves me not. He loves me. He loves me not. (5minutes later)
He loves me!
"Where we going?" I asked as I hand Nick a cigarette. "Dirks house." That's weird, I didn't know Dirk had a house here... "he was rich and I found his keys so..." he said. "Man, that's not right" I said. "And...?" Nick said. "Whatever." I said as I lit the cigarette in my mouth. We park in the driveway and stand in the front yard. "DAMN! He was loaded!" Nick said. We enter the stone mansion.
