"you know, all you do is talk about that jaemin boy," jiyeon rolled her eyes at the mention of that jaemin boy. unlike aeri, whose heart would start to race when she hears his name. you've guessed it right. kang aeri has been having a small little crush on one of mark lee's best friend.

ever since their first encounter, they became friends immediately. although it has yet been a week, aeri was already liking her time in her new school. she found out a few things about her new friends. her new friends found out new things about her.

"no i do not," aeri defended herself. "yes you do! you know youre lucky youre not crushing on a senior," jiyeon mumbled to herself, but aeri could hear her. "s-senior?" she stuttered over to her bestfriend. when they both looked at each other, aeri could see her bestfriend blushing. her eyes widened, jaw dropped, "na jiyeon has a crush on a senior?!"

jiyeon shushed aeri. "shut up! you can't say that! not until we're outside of school," she whispered. whenever jiyeon says 'we cant talk about something till we're outside' of something, she always means 'lets go out after this and ill tell you everything'. but that day, aeri wasnt free after school.

aeri and jaemin planned to go out after school because according to him, he knew this new cafe right round the corner and would love to take her there. "i cant, ji," aeri sighed, pouting. jiyeon rolled her eyes, "a date with jaemin again?" her best friend asked, folding her arms.

"okay first of all, it is not a date!" aeri furrowed her eyebrows, trying to defend herself. "shut up, are you gonna go to this cafe with him alone?" jiyeon asked just one question. aeri just kept quiet and nodded her head. "then it is a date, stupid!" her bestfriend nudged her elbow. aeri became flustered.

the bell rang and they were supposed to go back to class. jiyeon pursed her lips and sighed, "fine, ill tell you all about it probably another day," before walking away from her.

but aeri managed to stop her from going back to class. "can i get the name of this senior youre crushing on at least, ji?" she begged her bestfriend. jiyeon nervously chuckled, she gave in to her bestfriend.

"dont tell anyone about this but," jiyeon stopped halfway to add on more suspense. her bestfriend leaned in, excited about the boy that her bestfriend is crushing on. "jung jaehyun," she whispered, before giggling and running away from aeri.

thus, aeri was left with only one information of this mystery boy. that his name is jung jaehyun. and a senior. well, make it two. all she did was try to recall anyone she knew that went by the name of jaehyun. but then again, she has only been in the school for a week. of course she wont know anyone by that name.

when school ended, aeri walked out of her class to find jaemin waiting for her. "you ready to go to that cafe i was telling you about?" he blushed as he looked her in the eye, she felt her heartbeat increase. all she did was nod. and with that, they make their way to the cafe.

while walking, aeri tried her best to recall any guys that went by the name jaehyun. to jaemin, she looked super frustrated, like it was her biggest worry.

so jaemin just laughed to cease the tension. "you angry about something?" he softly asked, his hands in his pockets, he looked at her endearingly.

"nothing, its just, do you know anyone that goes by the name of jung jaehyun?" aeri asked jaemin, he hummed in acknowledgement, thinking to himself. but turns out he didnt know anyone by that name too. "do you want me to ask mark?" he asked, pulling out his phone. "mark's a senior, maybe he knows?"

but she shook her head, "its nothing important anyways, dont worry about it," trying to go past that problem. jaemin shrugged, following whatever she said and kept quiet about the whole jaehyun thing.

when they reached the cafe, jaemin already knew what he was going to get, but not aeri. so she decided to go up at the counter, and see the menu instead, with jaemin right next to her. the whole entire aesthetics of the cafe was beautiful. it was very minimalistic and it was white.

there were little plants and fairy lights, and comfy chairs and pillows on them. it was definitely a popular hangout place. and aeri can foresee her and jaemin hanging out here more often. when jaemin wanted to order, she stood by him. "hi, can i take your order?" the guy behind the counter asked jaemin.

and as jaemin was reciting their orders, her eyes fell on the guy's nametag. hi! my name is - jung jaehyun. her eyes widened, her fists clenched. oh my god! she thought to herself, this is jaehyun? she catched a glimpse of his face and knew that it was definitely jiyeon's type. she tried to recall everything that her bestfriend told her.

senior? is that why hes working in the cafe? as a part-timer? thats really the only clue that she has of him. why was she even thinking so much about it? its none of her business. but its probably because that was the first time ever jiyeon had a crush on someone who was older than her.

"and what about you?" jaehyun asked aeri, snapping her out of her reverie. she jumped a little, jaemin chuckled, looking at her. "oh, im not ordering, im with him," she laughed, trying to cease the awkwardness. she pointed to jaemin and then walked away with him. as they walk to their seats, jaemin whispered over to her.

"im pretty sure thats the jaehyun youre talking about. ive seen him around in school. plus, hes a senior and he talks to mark pretty often, theyre kinda close," at this rate, aeri kinda already confirmed that that was the jaehyun her friend was crushing on. she sneakily took a picture of him and sent her bestfriend.

is that him? sent. within minutes, jiyeon replied. what the fuck aeri are you stalking him? aeri rolled her eyes and took a picture of her and jaemin drinking together. im with jaemin, i have better things to do than to stalk him. sent. "hey, thats a nice pic of us together," jaemin smiled as he leaned over to see the picture of them on her phone.

aeri blushed. "send it to me," he said. throughout the day, the two only got closer. they shared earpieces, shared pieces of cakes together, took pictures together. their relationship only could get closer at this point. na jaemin felt like kang aeri's soulmate. it has been only a week but they connect so easily. it was like they were meant to be found.
