as aeri walked down the hallway of sopa with her bestfriend, na jiyeon. aeri couldnt stop thinking about the stupid conversation she had yesterday with jaehyun.

every now and then she'll smile because she was genuinely happy at how she had found someone that she could easily talk to. although he was older.

"aeri-ah" jiyeon snapped her bestfriend out of her reverie. aeri jumped subtly, then looking at jiyeon, humming, waiting for her to continue whatever she wanted to say.

"i'm planning to shoot my shot to him," jiyeon confessed. aeri's eyebrows raised, she asked who. her bestfriend rolled her eyes. "jaehyun– the senior that graduated 3 years ago," she explained

aeri's eyes widened in shock. "you're still at it? it's been three years and it has been the same guy you're spazzing about?!" she gasped. jiyeon nodded her head. "no! aeri, i didnt tell anyone but donghyuck and i had a little fling a while back," she confessed, then giggling like a little girl.

aeri gasped— again. "donghyuck? from like— chemistry?? i mean like, jaemin's good friend, my jaemin??" she was trying to put all the pieces together. jiyeon didnt even tell her that she had a thing with a boy! and theyre best friends!

"aeri stop worrying! it only lasted for two weeks. i called it off. because i saw jaehyun at the cafe and i just felt like i wanted to get to know him," jiyeon explained her relationship. aeri just nodded softly. "okay," she softly chuckled.

"just go for it, yeon! i see jaehyun everyday at the cafe. he's harmless. plus he's in college now so he's probably more mature," aeri babbled on. aeri and jaehyun had developed a friendship. but was it worth telling jiyeon? no— aeri thought to herself.

besides, they werent dating anyway. they were friends. there's nothing wrong in being just friends.

"okay babe, i'll drop by the cafe later and talk to him!" jiyeon excitedly clapped her hands. "if you want a free drink, tell him a boy broke your heart," aeri laughed to herself, an inside joke that her bestfriend didnt understand.

jiyeon just thought she was being weird so she brushed it off like it was nothing. right at that moment, her phone dinged. it was a text message, and it was from jaehyun. the two girls walked to class.

jiyeon walked to the counter, taking a deep breath. she was about to order coffee for her and her bestfriend as aeri sat down at her favourite spot— near the tv of the cafe. next to it was the glass window. decorated with little drawings and calligraphy.

"two caramel frappe, please!" jiyeon smiled from ear to ear. she was nervous. she felt like she was about to burst. jaehyun smiled, showing his dimple, nodding as a form of acknowledgement then proceeded to make the coffee.
