27 more minutes till a new year comes. on the 31st of december, mark and aeri will be spending their whole entire day together, going into 2017 together. isnt that sweet?

mark brought aeri out onto the terrace rooftop, fireworks were about to explode and appear right infront of their eyes. mark and aeri has been dating for two months, and they are practically in like.

weird. how it's "in like" and not "in love". that's because aeri has yet to conclude anything. aeri was never the perfect person when it comes to commitment. she hated it. she feared it, to be honest.

thus, aeri told herself that if she and mark are still dating till next october comes, or even more than that, then it's love. she was hoping that mark was the one. because day by day, he made her heart flutter even more.

when the clock strike twelve, and the fireworks exploded beautifully in the sky, mark pulled aeri in for a hug, then slowly into a kiss. that was the second time they've ever shared a kiss together.

other than that, it was always warm hugs and hand holding. their second kiss was even more sparkling than the first one. and that one made aeri feel butterflies in her whole stomach. she felt — warm.

after a long time, she finally felt warmth. and the cause of it was mark lee. when mark pulled away, she couldnt even stop herself from smiling. she was ashamed. mark smiled, at the sight of her.

"why are you smiling like that," aeri nervously chuckled, holding mark so tight and vice versa. "just because— you're beautiful," he giggled, blushing. the two just laughed right after, leaning their foreheads together.

that year, 2016, they shared many of firsts.

"lets break up," mark said, 2 seconds before the crowd surrounding them yells happy new year and kisses their significant other. aeri stands there, frozen, as she felt the little snowflakes falling down and brushing against her skin. her eyes, locked to mark's, but he looked away as soon as he saw her eyes turning red.

aeri had no words to say, other than she saw it coming. but on new years? of course she didnt. all she did was let out a smile, trying to hide the present that she was about to give to her boyfriend, ex-boyfriend.

since it's been more than a year, aeri has concluded that she did love mark lee. even though she was skeptical about her feelings at first, when in the relationship, she realized that she did love him. and she still does.

that was why aeri actually got him a present, it was supposed to be a bracelet, because the other day they went shopping, mark actually expressed his love towards the accessory.

aeri bought it. but she shouldnt have. after all the times that mark had made her feel? after all the times that mark hurt her? she told herself, why would she ever give in again. but she got her answer - because it was love.

but she couldnt say that she didnt see this breakup coming, she definitely saw it. this relationship has been nothing but a wreck, but she still held on, because it was the first ever real relationship that she has ever been in, and she loves mark, so very much.
