Hemmings side ~ 'the one who tries to hide it'
"Sorry I didn't called afterwards, babe. I fell asleep..." I ended up creating the biggest lie to my girlfriend through the phone after Ashton left. I told her I was asked to babysit my cousins and couldn't find the time to text or call her throughout the day. "I came home really tired after that...Please forgive me."
Yes, forgive me for being an ass and lying to you about it. I was actually cheating on you and with your own brother. I wanted to say it...But Ash forbid me to. At least until we figured out how the whole thing works.
I was still confused about it, and so was he. We never thought we were going to end up liking each other that way. Even when I found out Ash was dressed up as the girl I liked that day, I still couldn't imagine myself falling over my head for him as a guy.
"Hmm...That's okay." She fell for it, like a clueless and innocent little fly into a spiders web. Her voice changed from worried to contented in a second. "Lets just make up for it today! So when you get out of work, call me and we canー"
I had to stop her in mid sentence and excuse myself for a moment because I heard a huge banging sound from the living room. May was home. "Uh, I'll call you back, babe. My roommate is asking for my help."
I half lied on that part. Perhaps May wasn't verbally calling me, but her deafening actions were just a cry for my attention, I figured it out while I followed her silently to the kitchen. "Hey...?"
She was looking like a homeless person. Her turquoise colored hair was fading to a cyan shade and her dark brown roots looked even longer. The shirt she was wearing was too big for her small and short body, it almost fitted her like a cocktail dress. I knew it belonged to her brother, which meant that she had just came back from his place. "Ugh...."
She groaned unattractively, like an obese man who drank too much beer. She gargled in apple juice from our fridge and spat out the rest on the sink. "You're paying for that."
The whole time I was watching her, she ignored me. At some point she grabbed a kitchen knife and just stared at it, which scared me. "Whoa, May, calm down..."
"...Lucas. I need you to help me." She didn't had that dual voice I was hearing back then, but saying that she did would of made sense. "I need you toー"
"I'm against self harm and I won't let you do it." I manned up and tried to take away the sharp object from her. "May, hand it over. You still have so much to live for."
"LUKE!!" Her sharp pitched scream hurt my ear and I winced back, expecting to get stabbed somewhere in my chest. Though, the only thing I felt was her little arms wrapped around me. "Lucas...H-H-Help me!!!"
〜 I had to cancel my plans with my girlfriend, again. But this time it was because of May, who was in dramatic hitch. Apparently, and hold on to your seats because I didn't even see this one coming, that latte lover was gay.
"She kissed you?" I tried hard not to laugh but it was almost impossible. I kept imagining Ailyn just coming onto a girl like May. Wouldn't it be the other way around? Ailyn was all girly and May was...She was like...
"A dude with a vagina." I divulged my statement without knowing, causing her to punch me in the shoulder for the reason that she knew I was talking about her. "I'm sorry, you were saying?"
"I'm saying I don't know how to tell her I'm not interested." She crossed her arms, making a huge deal out of it. All she had to do was tell her she wasn't gay and...Wait a minute...
"May...Do you like girls?" Again, she punched me on the other shoulder for asking a harmless question like that. "...Ow."
"Of course not! I've always liked boys, okay?"
