Chapter 10 ( POV Peregrine)

Everything was perfect. The place was spotless, balloons were in place, party cannons ready to set off in an hours time. Perfect. I couldn't wait for all the other guests to arrive, we would spend the whole night dancing, singing playing spin the bottle. This would have to be the best birthday party yet. I was just daydreaming about all the fun we would have when a knock awoke me from my slumber. A new sensation shivered through my spine, what if I got nervous! Well I shoved that terrible thought out of my mind and set off to the door.

"Hey! Happy birthday Peregrine!" It was Winter and Qibli, early to get the party rolling. I embraced them in a huge hug then let them come inside.

"Hey guys! You're the first ones here by the way. I guess that was planned?"

They were both carrying large gifts, one a cylindrical shape and the other was in a gift bag.

"Yup. Hopefully, that's ok? It's ok right?"

Qibli always had that sense of humour that brightened everyone's mood. That's one of the reasons why I had a huge crush on him, ever since grade three.

"Yeah it's totally fine. I'm actually really glad you guys are the first ones here. I was worried it would be someone I barley know!"

"I guess your glad it's us then?", said winter. He ran a pale hand through his light blue hair and glanced uncertainty at me. Things have been weird between us ever since he kissed me in grade six. I told him not to worry about it but he still seems kind of jumpy around me. I gave him a smile then lead them over to the kitchen to grab some drinks.

"I got some fizzy drinks and some alcoholic ones so people can choose whether thy want to get drunk or not. Heh."

"That's actually a good idea. Also where do we put the gifts?"

"Oh right! There's a table in the conservatory. I'll take you there."

They followed me in to the conservatory and put the gifts down on to the table. There were also some snacks at the end of the table and the rest of my birthday gifts. Once they had finished stuffing their faces with salty pretzels and cheese and onion crisps I dragged they back into the living room.

My strawberryblond hair was in a French braid down my back and it had a small rose woven in between the braid. I was also wearing a white blouse with a ruby red skirt and black ballet flats. It worked really well with my pasty white skin. Winter was wearing a white shirt with dark blue pants. Qibli had a sandy brown t shirt on with pale brown shorts. The door bell rang again as I rushed into the parlour. I opened the door and screamed.

"ALBAAA!!!"

"PERIIIIII!!!"

I embraced my bestie in a MASSIVE hug. I haven't seen her since we broke up for the summer.

"I haven't see you in FOREVER Alba! How was your holiday?"

"Omg! Me toooooooo! My holiday was fantastic! We went to the desert for six weeks. I wished you were there every second!"

"That sounds like so much fun! I went skiing and saw Sunny there, we hung out for a weekend and had a sleepover. We stayed at the resort for three weeks. I wished you could have come with me!"

"I know right!"

Alba grabbed a massive gift bag and shoved it into my arms. She had tied the handles together with ribbon and the gift bag was covered from head to toe in rainbow happy birthday stickers. It was BEAUTIFUL!

"Open it tonight at our sleepover. I can wait!"

"This bag it so pretty. I'm going to have it framed."

"Thanks! I decorated it myself. By the way you look gorgeous! I love your skirt. We're did you get it?"

"This is from D&M. It matches my wings, see?"

"I loveee it!"

Alba was wearing a sliver pencil skirt and a ice blue skin tight crop top. Her sliver hair was tied up in a messy bun and she had blue eyeshadow on.

"I also love what you are wearing. It looks so nice!"

Qibli stepped in and pulled us apart.

"Girls, girls you do realise we need to invite the other guests in before your two hour long reunion?"

Alba pushed him away and giggled.

"Qibli, I think I know how to be a good host without your legendary guidance."

He grinned then walked Alba over to the conservatory to put down her present. My family had moved during the summer so this was also a little house warming party since nobody had seen my new house. This party's going to be GREAT!

Hey guys! I know i haven't been posting lately but thats because i have been writing a new series. also sorry that this chapter is a little shorter than the others. I have started writing on a laptop instead of an ipad and i'm just getting used to typing like this.
