The darkness was kissing your skin, the little moonlight that came from the window did nothing but add loneliness to the room. Your eyes were connecting the blood dots on the ceiling and while you were cold, you made no attempt to grab the blanket.
Your fingers slowly rubbed over your own skin, feeling every bump, scar and bone. Yet, somehow, it was peaceful. You felt peaceful. There was no rush, no time limit... No guessing if very second was one second too late.
Just... Peace...
And extreme loneliness.
You turned your head to the side and without your notice a small gasp escaped your mouth:
You turned your head and saw Jeff sitting on the edge of the bed, carving some wood with the edge of his knife. You only saw his back though, his black hair hanging loosely over his shoulder. You slowly sat up straight, your gaze still focused on him.
You weren't sure if you needed to say anything, but he would know you were awake sooner or later. You might as well just tell him.
"Jeff?" You asked softly, bringing a hand up towards your head and waiting in silence for his reply. He didn't answer; he only kept carving into the wood with slight aggression. Well, you felt it as slight aggression. Didn't he hear you? Or was he ignoring you on purpose?
"Jeff?" You dared to ask again, this time a little louder. Why you called out to him again instead of just letting it slip? You had no idea. Maybe you wanted some attention...
"Shut up." He only growled, not even giving you a glance. You raised your eyebrows at this. It was then you remembered! You had tried to escape from him and it again failed miserably! How could you even be that stupid! Of course he would be angry at you!
You squeezed your eyes shut, grunting a little while opening them again.
Empty.
He wasn't here.
You sat up, rubbing your head and then proceeding to stare at the door. Jeff was gone... He was out to do... Whatever it is he does. You were supposed to be sleeping, it is supposed to be night here... But how would you know?
Why would you care anyway? It is not like you have a job to do in the morning. The only thing you need to do is survive... Tend to Jeff's need... Pray for whatever family he kills. But what's the point in that? You didn't care. You couldn't care anymore. So what if he kills another family? So what if he tears apart their whole life before their eyes?
If he doesn't then they will find another one who does.
The police will never get him, the project will never succeed, the world will never get rid of these monstrous creatures ravaging, you will never escape.
You will never escape.
"That's the problem! You don't know or feel anything! You only get angry and blame it all on me!" You now spat back at him, immediately jumping up and getting as far away from him as possible. You couldn't even look at him right now.
"Well maybe that's because I'm a fucking killer, Y/N! I kill people for fun; you are here for my fun! You think that even when I try that I can somehow feel any sympathy? That's a fairytale. You need to get out of that fantasy world of yours. You're here now, whether you like it or not! "
You were extremely taken aback by Jeff crazy outburst. He had never screamed or yelled at you with such rage, with such a dark tone. It again scared you to the bone as your still red eyes focused on the male standing next to the bed.
