Newt sat on the same bench on the steamboat as he did on his first trip to New York. The Statue of Liberty was quickly rising up on the horizon. He nervously fiddled with the latches on his case as thoughts ran at lightning speed through his head, I should have sent an owl, no I want this to be a surprise, does she...I mean they even want to see me.

Newt had corresponded with Tina via owl over the past eleven months. It hadn't been frequently since both were busy with their jobs, but enough to find out that Jacob had regained his memory, though bits and pieces were still missing. MACUSA didn't know, and the whole situation greatly troubled Tina. In turn, Tina found out more about Newt's family- especially his brother. The horn blew, signaling the boat's arrival, and snapping the dazed magizoologist out of his trance.

This time he went through customs without a problem. He made sure not to put his hand on his coat lapel when asked about livestock. He found an empty alleyway and Disapparated to the best of his ability, not being exactly sure where the Goldstein residence was. Only then, when he appeared in front of the brownstone did he remember about Mrs. Esposito, the land lady.

Oh well, he thought, and proceeded to quietly inch up the creaking stairs.
