With shaky hands, I tapped the missed-call notification, hoping it would call back. But the password screen popped up and tears instantly flooded my eyes. I was just seconds away from freedom. Even if I had answered, what would I say? I had no idea where I was. I wasn't even sure if I was in the same state anymore. There was nothing I could say or do that would get me out of this situation, and the realization of that broke me.

My mind was running at a million miles per minute, but everything stopped the second the phone started ringing again. I almost dropped the phone trying to frantically answer. I didn't even have a chance to say anything before someone started yelling.

"Frank, if you don't tell me where you are I swear-"

"Gerard? Gerard, it's me, Jenna."

"J-Jenna?" He whispered. "Is that really you?"

"Yes," I said with tears falling down my face. Hearing his voice after so long was like a breath of fresh air. You don't realize what you have until it's gone.

"Where are you? Are you okay? Did he hurt you? Do you know where you're at?"

"I'm fine! I don't have a lot of time though. I have no idea where I'm at. He took me to another place in the middle of nowhere. I can't even see the road from any of the windows in the house. All I can see in the yard is a gazebo and a lot of flowers."

I was trying to talk as quickly as I could while still trying to keep quiet. I would peak over my shoulder every few seconds to make sure Frank wasn't on his way back yet.

"I might know where you're at. We had separate houses for each of us. At least I hope Frank would be dumb enough to use one of them."

I chuckled and wiped the tears off my face. "I'm waiting for the bad news now."

"The only problem is, they're kind of spread out distance wise. So even if he is at one of the locations, it could take a few days for me to find the right one."

"Do you know Frank's password? I could try sharing his location with you."

"I have no idea what it could be. But I'm going to start my journey soon. I'll start with the places closest to me. I can figure things out along the way."

I looked over my shoulder and noticed the door opening.

"Shit, Gerard, I need to go. I'll try to find a way to communicate to you. I'll be waiting."

I quickly hung up and put Frank's phone on the ground, so it wouldn't look like I had it. I kicked it with my foot so I couldn't reach it.

"Were you talking to someone?" Frank put his hand on my shoulder as he approached me.

"I was talking to myself. I got a little lonely without you here." I lied. He sat next to me again and I tried to avoid his direction. He must have noticed, because he gently grabbed my chin and turned my face to his.

"Are you crying?"

"I think since I haven't been outside in a while, my allergies are really kicking in. I've been trying not to itch my eyes, but they keep watering." I smiled, trying to make it as believable as possible.

He went to say something, but was interrupted by the sound of something vibrating. I was hoping and praying it wasn't Gerard. Frank would get suspicious and I wouldn't have his trust at all. He finally found it on the ground not too far from me. He looked at me before he picked it up.

"How long have you had this?"

"Frank," I said as I lifted my cuffed arm up. "You must have dropped it. I have not left your sight since I've been here. When would I even have the opportunity to take it from you?"
