The Flictine Springs are an assortment of deadly hot springs and geysers located at the foot of Coaraut. The volcanically heated waters boil at a temperature of approximately 642° Telv (543°F), immediately and severely burning anyone unfortunate enough to come in contact with it.
As suggested by its name, Flictine Springs attract flictine in droves. Breeding and nesting are when flictine are the most vulnerable, but the springs ward off any would-be predator; creating a safe place for flictine to breed and rear young. Their feathers are coated with a natural, heat and water resistant fluid that allows them to thrive so close to the volcano.
