Appearance:
Tanlasjiorn crests are made up of feather-like scales. A Tanlasjiorn may rub these together to ward off a predator by producing a sound similar to that of maracas (female) or shutters (male). Crests are also used to aid females in finding a mate. Female crests are far larger than that of males, as well as more colorful.
Male Tanlasjiorns may have larger horns and greater mass on their side, but female Tanlasjiorns tusks are up to twice as long as a male's tusks. They also have a better temperament with being handled. Tusks are used for defense and grooming each other's crest.
Tanlasjiorns are the main source of transportation on Rhailonn (aside from flying)
