Description:
Orvus Blooms are neither classified as a plant nor animal, but evidence strongly suggests it is actually an animal. The maw tends to grow to be about 5-7 feet high and 5-6 feet wide.
Orvus Blooms have no root system whatsoever, but rather a large "stomach" below-ground containing digestive juices and long, flexible tendrils.
The "flower" has two petals that act as mouths, both are lined with short, but formidable teeth along the rim. It is totally blind due to lack of eyes, but doesn't need them anyway. It hunts by snaking it's long, worm like vines along the forest floor, catching any living thing it can wrap around, injecting it with its venom, and dragging it back to the maw. Kiatrin exposure to the venom usually result in effects such as temporary blindness, paralysis, and/or hallucinations. (These effects can last anywhere from 8 hours to a week depending on the individual and how much venom was used)
Encounters with Orvus Blooms are rare since everyone avoids the Carnivorous forest like the plague, but there have been a few recorded incidents where Kiatrin have lost an arm, hand, foot, or the end of their tail to them.
