betrayed

getting settled

I was getting more used to things here. The second day was great.
I woke up and stretched out i walked in to my bathroom and showered generally getting ready for the day asteroid flew up and jumped on my shoulder the first thing i saw when i walked out was a small purple dragon slowly fly past my door. 'well that's odd' i thought. I walked down to the kitchen to see winter sitting one a bar stool reading with the purple dragon on her shoulder.
"Oh morning Percy want anything for breakfast" she asked.
"Um sure pancakes?" It came out like a question.
She walked over to a stove and quickly started making pancakes. "Here you go" she droped three blue chocolate chip pancakes on my plate. I looked at her confused. "When you looked in on your moms place i saw a recipe binder titaled blue foods i figured you like blue." I smiled and dug in to the pancakes. Now i love my moms cooking but winter's is amazing. She finished eating and continued to read.
"Uh what you reading" i asked.
"A book chaos brought me from earth its called wicked lovely its one of the fey stories of your world but its inaccurate it shows four courts and no colonies" she says making me chuckle.
"Are your people called fairies" i asked.
"Yes but spelled F.A.E.R.I.E.S faeries. We can be fatal those tiny ones are not we are human sized too obviously."
"Understood" i said. "So what do you wanna do".
"We could swim we could play video games. You could see your dad"
When she said that i thought of a few questions i wanna ask him. "Ill go see my dad when i come back later we could do something okay?" She nodded and went back to my book. I walked through town people bowing and greating me once more. When i get to the castle a girl and a boy about mine and winters age is standing by the door. They were in all black with swords at their back. The girl had red hair tied up into a bun and the boy had short messy dark blue hair. The lifted their swords.
"Who are you" the girl asked.
"Um Percy can i get through i wanna see my dad"
"Ha you think we'll believe that your the Prince".
"Oh hey Percy sorry about that he's with me guys" winter randomly appears. "This is the Prince he showed up yesterday didnt you guys go to the ceremony" the two shook their heads. "Well can we get in he wants to see lord chaos" the two lower their swords. "Sorry about Melody and Mike. They have trust issues".
"Its fine i don't exactly look like a prince" she laughed a little making me smile.
"Here you go this is his office" with that she leaves.
I knock on the door and here a faint come in. "Hello Percy" my father says looking up from his papers smiling. "I told you you have the day to yourself"
"I know i just wanted to come by and ask you a question"
"Ask away" he smiled.
"Um what happened to my mom and why was i on earth" his smile faded and he frowned.
"Well when you were little there was someone trying to use you to get to me it was me and orders brother disaster. He tried to hurt you so me and your mother chose to put you on earth thinking it was the safest place and it was for you. We wiped your memory and replaced it so you'd be safer and then mad Posiden think you were his with a few drops of his Ichor so it would explain your power. So we left you and came back to fight. Your mother faded in the wars and me and order locked him up in the swirling void where he cant get out." Father explained.
"What about the flowers on her throne".
"Her crown its made of moon drops and star gazer Lilys winter found the moon drops somewhere on the planet the lilys are from earth"
I sat and talked with chaos for a while before i decided that id go back to see what winter was up to. I placed my had to the touch pad on the door. "Percy Jackson" it opened into the lounge. When i walked in i saw asteroid and comet playing on the floor. "You two know where winter is" i asked.
She practicing archery in the top arena asteroid told me
She said she was bored waiting for you comet added.
"Thanks" i said heading to the top arena. I saw Winter with her wings visable and a silver and white bow in her hand and arrows of the same style in the quiver on her back. She pulled back and in one shot she hit the bulls eye she pulled out another arrow and loses it. It goes right through the other just like in Brave i didnt think that was really possible. I noticed for the first time that she had tattoos. There were stars going up her left forearm two intertwined moons on the back of her left thumb some intricate design on her right hand on her pointer and thumb and a feather on her left side. "Oh hey Percy" i snapped out of my daze.
"Hey that was really cool".
"Thanks took a hell of a lot of practice though" she smiled. Her wings moved behind her like they had a mind of their own. I realized how cold it was in the room. When i started to shake she quickly said "oh goodness are you cold im sorry i was really hot." She ran over to a panel and gave it to a few taps turning down the air conditioning. She came back blushing like mad.
"Its okay Winter" her blush subsided a little.
"Anywho uh yea that took me a while to figure out" she says awkwardly.
I laugh and grab her hand to look at the tattoo "oh i can change aspects of my apperance at will i don't change that though its a tattoo everyone on my colony gets at fifthteen"
"Thats cool i want to learn more about your planet, winter could you tell me about it" she smiled and nodded and i spent the rest of the day with winter discussion different aspects of her home planet
"Our world is split in to the diffrent sections water fire light shadows frost summer dessert and forest. Every type has multiple colonies and something called gifties like what you call pixies but they were thought of as a gift so we called them gifties there are multiple giftie villages in a colony and identify with the type of faeries like frost or summer. The chief usually keeps them around i miss my gifties. I think the frost gifties were the most beautiful things ever i keep asking chaos to bring me some but he's always to busy" she looked down sadly. She continued telling me of the gifties and other intresting animals from faeriy. That night i promised myself that id find away to bring her some gifties i can tell shes a little home sick
