CANOEING

Sapphire's POV

I had my back turned to Ruby, still sobbing quietly. Soon, the lights were turning off in the other rooms, so i closed my lamp and curling onto the bedsheets, tears staining my cheeks. I felt like Ruby had stabbed my heart with daggers, leaving me injured inside.

Why did you lie to me?

You could've just said that he wanted to stay friends and told me the true reason.

Why, Ruby? Why?

What have i done to deserve this pain...?

I pressed my face into the pillow before i heard some rustling of Ruby getting up and sitting onto the side of my bed. "I hate you!" I sobbed, my words muffled by the pillow. "Listen, Sapphire..." He whispered guiltily. I turned my head in his direction, my face twisted in fury. "What!?" I hissed. "What have i done to deserve this? You didn't need to lie!" Ruby dropped his head sadly and responded, "You didn't do anything. I was just stupid and dumb! I just didn't want to lose you... since couples do break up sometimes and all..." With my sharp eyesight, i saw that Ruby was blushing, and tears were welling up in his own eyes.

 "I'm sorry! I'm sorry for everything I've done! I'm sorry for the cut on your hand! I'm sorry for breaking your heart and making you wait!" Ruby wailed, his own tears starting to fall.

"You haven't changed. After all i've suffered, how can i just forgive you with just words?" I hissed back.

"Well, this isn't words." He sighed before lunging forward and pressed his lips onto mine. My eyes widened in shock and I tried to pull back, but Ruby held me tight, not letting me escape. Then, i heard cameras flashing and we pulled away to see Green videotaping us! And before you knew it, i was on her, deleting the video while screeching at her.

When i woke up, I sat up and yawned before stepping off my bed and doing my morning routine. (Brushing teeth, combing hair, change) After Ruby woke up and did the same thing, We did the same thing as yesterday. Go down. Eat breakfast. As we were eating, this time Crystal announced that we were going canoeing. "Go back and pack up your stuff." She said. "After we finish canoeing, we will go on another plane ride to the polar areas." So, we did. After we finished packing our stuff, we were in our cars again, going to the lake to canoe.

After getting instructions on how to row, we loaded into our canoes. I think Ruby purposely chose to go with me, to discuss more of our relationship and apologize again. After sliding into the water, I pushed my paddle through the water with all my strength, which is a lot, so our canoe was already moving really fast by the time Ruby started paddling, too. We were tied with Blue and Silver, who were also moving quickly. We were barely a foot from next to each other when they splashed us. Ruby started screaming hysterically behind me, and i splashed them back. Real hard. I took the lead paddling alone as Blue and Silver stopped to cough and wipe the water from their face. Being raised in the wild and all, i didn't care about the water soaking my pants and bandanna. It was fun and all, being in the lead and hearing Ruby shrieking in the back about his soaked outfit.

After we finished canoeing, we changed (Ruby forced me to) and we went to the airport again. This time, Crystal insisted that we take our jackets with us onto the seat of the plane instead of leaving it in our suitcases. "The arctic, huh." Ruby wondered out loud. "I hope the snow isn't dirty." Several of us started giggling on that, and he blushed slightly and yelled for us to shut up.

After boarding onto the plane, the same thing happened. I fell asleep since i wasn't used to the TV screen.

Suddenly, i felt a few soft strokes along my hair, and my dreams became more settle.

Ruby and I, in our secret base, having fun.

Then, i heard a few AWWW's and i woke up to find Ruby, stroking my hair with a slightly concerned face. "Nightmare?" he asked. I nodded slightly before scowling at his light laugh. I heard Green fangirling in the row behind us, and i turned around to yell at her to shut up. After i finished lecturing her about privacy, i turned back around with a huff to find the air getting a bit more chilly. Still, that didn't help me not fall asleep, and before i knew it, i was sleeping on Ruby's shoulder again. As i drifted away, I continued to feel Ruby stroke my hair.

Sort of a cliffhanger? Nothing really interesting comes afterwards, so i guess not...?
