Ruby's POV

When the flight was over, i shook Sapphire awake and we silently took our stuff off of the plane and departed. Then, we met the pokedex holders out of the airplane. That's when i realized i was shivering, and so was everyone else. I heard a squeal and turned my head to see Green jumping up and down while pointing outside. "It's snow!" She squeaked. "In the summer!" I let out a sigh and started rummaging through my backpack for my jacket.

By the time we were in the parking lot, we all had jackets on. Sapphire was wearing the earmuffs and scarf i had made for her, as well as a cotton sweater. Long pants covered her legs and fluffy socks were on her feet. How cute, i thought. She seemed to read my mind and glared at me slightly while blushing like crazy.

In our cars, Sapphire and i sat, mostly in silence. she exhaled with her mouth open, and her breath was visible as [fog? steam? whatever]. "Hey. i wonder why it does that." I said to her, hoping the years she spent in the wild would give her the answer. Fortunately, she nodded and replied, "The reaction when the warm air hits the cold air." (i think) I nodded, not avoiding eye contact. For a moment, all i did was wonder how such eye colors existed. Sapphire blue eyes that were normally twinkling with mischief were quite the last thing you had in mind, perhaps. Suddenly, a "Hello?" broke my train of thought and i continued to chat with her, the topic out of my head.

When we got out of the car, i'm struck on how freezing cold it was. As i looked around, Sapphire let out a joyous yowl and pointed to the mountains in front of us. "Are we climbing that?" She asked while jumping up and down, and Crys let out a sigh. "How did you read my mind?" the catcher muttered. A "YESSSSSSSS" escaped Sapphire's mouth before she started to pelt at full speed to the mountain.

The rest of us were trekking on the trail panting, while Sapphire was leaping from tree to tree and climbing up some parts of the cliff faces that the trail was too annoying to follow. Well, we had to get help from her to climb over those parts.

After several hours, we forced our aching legs to pull us to the top. Sapphire was already up there, the wind ruffling her hair. It was a miracle on how she wasn't panting noticeably like how everyone else was. After resting for a while, we started having snowball fights and making snowmen. At some point, everyone made a deal to hit Gold with a snowball at the same time. "3.." Silver whispered. "2... 1!!!!" At that very moment, we threw our snowballs right at him. He was so startled that he slipped and fell back onto my snowman.

"GOLD!!!!!!!! MY SNOWMAN!!!"

"I'M SORRY! GEEZ!!"

"AHHHHH!!!!"

and with that, before i could control myself, i smacked Gold, causing him to tumble down a ravine, and a pack of Luxrays emerged from the bushes, hissing at him. Oh no, I thought. What have i done?
