Emerald's POV

You know that weird excited feeling that you get that moment when you wake up on Christmas, no matter how much you don't care?

I hope you can relate, because it definitely happened to me.

I normally don't look very forward to Christmas, because all of the pokedex holders will go crazy on a party, Gold will come up with some crazy bad idea, and worst of all, Ruby and Sapphire will argue day and night. Wait. Actually, i don't really look forward to anything thanks to that.

When i woke up, the sun was already shining through my window. Hmm, i thought. Ruby and Sapphire didn't argue and wake me up today. Sitting up and yawning, enjoying the peace, i felt an excited shiver climb up my spine. Huh.

Oh wait. It's Christmas. That's why. Ruby and Sapphire are opening their presents, and i guess the sound of tearing isn't enough to wake me up. Stepping off the bed, i went to Red and Yellow's room, which has become sort of our meeting room now, and sat down in my place beside the Christmas tree and watched the others tear at their gifts excitedly while i opened them in a slightly bored manner. Looking down, i saw what i got. Presents from every individual, as well as one with a big card with everyone's signatures and wishes. No matter how hard i tried to fight it down, a small smile appeared on my face.

Maybe Christmas was something to get excited about.

I'm not sure what to write because it was Emerald and i didn't really know how to depict him. As i've read in other stories on wattpad, if they didn't ship Franticshipping or just didn't have time to study their character, Sapphire would be played out as some wild kid, when in reality, there's much more to her. That's kinda how i feel lots of Emerald fans will feel towards this. Wait why does this sound serious NO ITS TOO SERIOUS FOR MY AGE
