Sapphire's POV
As we walked down the isle, i noticed a lot of people taking photos of Gold crying and Ruby leaning on me, traumatized. As i pulled Ruby to my other side so he also had Crystal to block him from unwanted cameras, I sent a few looks full of daggers at the snickering people. Why is Ruby, the boy who fearlessly fought the salemence to protect me, scared of roller coasters? i thought. They are so fun! As the day went on, we went on a few more settled roller coasters. Ruby was still terrified, but not as hysterical. Finally, after lunch, we stopped at the park's most scary roller coaster. As i observed carefully, I noticed all of the people coming out were traumatized or crying, except for like, one or two. Still, i held my silence as Green and Crystal dragged us on since they wanted to videotape Gold crying. Gold kicked and screamed like a toddler, claiming that he didn't want to go on, but I helped Crystal drag him onto the rollet coaster seat anyways. As i returned to my own seat next to Ruby's, i made mental notes in my head.
The seats are dangling from a pole on the top, so it swings.
There's a sign saying anyone with any medical conditions shouldn't go on.
The seatbelts are those U's that go around your chest. that means that you might fall off with only the bar seatbelts. Wild, huh...
Whatever. Seems fun.
As soon as everyone was secured in tightly, The worker clicked some sort of button and the double file line of the seats started to move. As we moved up the first plunge, Ruby yanked my right hand from next to me and pressed it under his hand that was holding his handlebars. I rolled my eyes at him again before we went down.
Now i see why it's the park's most wild roller coaster: The first plunge was 17 stories tall. Just as we shot down the plunge, i jumped slightly, since it was the wildest roller coaster i've been on. However, as soon as i got back to my senses, i realized how amazing this roller coaster was. I raised my remaining hand up while Ruby was squeezing my hand so hard that it actually hurt. He was screaming louder than i ever heard him before, and i wondered how his throat was faring. Green was laughing a few rows in the front while Gold... i can't even express. Crystal was holding her handles naturally, trying to hide her trembling, while Silver, again, had his hands raised in the air with an emotionless face. As i looked around, i realized that Green, Silver, Blue and i were the only ones who weren't screeching or crying. As i continued to laugh, i felt a sharp pain in my hand, but i didn't have time to worry about that as we sailed through plunges and loops.
When the roller coaster stopped, i shook Ruby's shoulder to get him back into his senses and i had to drag him out to meet the dexholders. As i burst out, i saw Gold, passed out. He was held up by Silver and Crystal. As i walked towards them, i noticed everyone staring at my hand. As i looked down to see it, i saw some blood. Huh? i thought. Is that why it hurt? I quickly turned around and checked Ruby's nails, to find them coated in the sticky red stuff, too. "Ruby!" I yelled. "Mmmphhh...?" He moaned. "YOU LITERALLY STABBED MY HAND WITH YOUR NAILS!!" i screeched in his ear. Dazed, he managed to shake himself off before looking at his hand. "Huh?" He gasped. He looked at the bleeding scratch on the palm and hugged me. "I'm so sorry." He murmured. "But thanks for letting me hold on. I was going to lose myself." I blushed slightly at that comment before patting his head. "I'm fine." After Ruby dug out a bandage from his bag and sticking it on my wound carefully, he washed the blood from his nails as he wiped it from my scratch. "Are you okay?" he asked. "Yeah. Yeah i am." I responded.
This chapter was so random. The scratch thing was the first thing that came to my head, so hehe. Also, I am publishing this late at night, and i'm STILL not done with my homework. Way to plan, dude!
