"Ruby, you're a sophisticated junior, I have a question to ask"
Ruby, doing her work was then interrupted by her classmate, Tony, who was enchanted by her intelligence— but mostly because she was older than him. Tony is only a Sophomore, so naturally he feels cool to be sitting next to one of the Juniors in the Chemistry class.
Setting her pencil down she glares at Tony, her green eyes piercing sharp into his, while he sits with his chin laying on his hand, looking side ways at ruby.
"Yes Tony?" She grumbled.
"Would you ever date a guy taller than you? Cuz you know you're pretty short"
Rolling her eyes, while chuckling. Already use to any questions regarding her life as a short person, she grabs her pencil and continues to do her work, "Yes I would, considering I'm pretty short it would be hard to find a guy my height anyways, but a tall guy wouldn't be so bad."
Ashley, who was eavesdropping into the conversation butt in, "Ooo Tony, are you trying to get with Ruby?! Since you're only, what? 5"0 or 5"2?"
Tony blushing denies these accusations
"I was just asking!".
Ruby chuckles at Tony, knowing he has a little crush, but since she isn't interested let's it be. If he were to confess she would politely refuse and ask to remain friends.
"Tony you should really be doing your work, last time you got 25 out of 50 on the classwork packet! Chop-chop!"
"Yes ma'am!" Saluting her with his eye crossed, making Ruby laugh. The class is filled with talking and laughter, but Ms. Coleman the tall, blond chemistry teacher begins to speak. "Okay class listen up!" The class slowly quite downs and puts their attention on Ms. Colman. "Every year in all my chemistry classes I let two people do a project on whatever experimentation they want, but it must be two people and first come first serve. Now I want you guys to go find your partners, and choose wisely! You have until the week before finals to finally turn it in." The class filters back into chaos, people running to their friends, making the class a complete anarchy.
"So... Ruby" asked Tony who tapped Ruby's shoulder from behind, "want to be my partner for the project Ms. Colman is giving us?"
"Yeah sure!" Smiling at Tony, who's always been very sweet to Ruby.
"Kay, awesome! I know I can count on you Rubes!" Jumping from her seat to bearhug Ruby incredibly tight.
"Haha of course" patting Tony on the back.During nutrition/break
"Ugh Rubes, do you think I'll get disowned if I dropped out of school? I mean who needs it? I could be a sugar baby! Older guys love younger girls!!" Eleanor exclaims.
Laughing while opening her locker, Ruby gives her best friend, a pointed look, "Ellie, you need you're education! You got this! You're a smart ass chick, and you will be independent you don't need no sugar daddy!"
"You're only saying that because I'm ugly! If I had you're cute green eyes, cute little butt, and skinny body I would get boys all over me And I would have any trouble getting a man"
Ruby rolled her eyes at her best friend, she knew her friend was complimenting her, but Ruby only saw her own flaws, being skinny came with A cup bras, and being short made her look like 5th grader, only wearing some mascara to at least appear in middle school. And not to get started with her disastrous hair, curly and long but never likes to agree, but fortunately shines in the sun, with nice curls occasionally.
But the one thing she truly loves is her own eyes, Ruby has green eyes, but has speckles of brown surrounding it only looking closely you could see, and in the sun it shined bright along with her hair."Oh shut up Ellie! You're gorgeous, 5"4 perfect height, even average guys are taller than you, and your ass is fucking amazing don't compare yourself to others! Get your head out of your ass and love yourself." Slamming her locker angry that her best friend gets herself down. Ellie looks down at Ruby, knowing she ticked her off with her self hate, Ruby hates it when the people she loves don't love themselves, but can't seem to do the Same for herself either.
"Okay mom! I will, you're right" throwing her arm over Ruby's shoulder hugging her, appreciating her directness.
Ruby slowly smirks, and nudges Ellie.
"You better."
"So Ruby, have you heard the tea about Royce? Heard he talked back to a teacher, then walked out of class because the teacher woke him up from his nap, said he was tired as hell"
"HAHAH wow what a mood, wish I could do that. I'm sure he's in his second home, the principals office am I right?" Ruby giggles walking to the office to get a flyer, an upcoming movie theater is going to play at school and Ruby will never miss out st the chance to watch a movie for free.
"Yup! And his brother went to keep him company" Ellie says grabbing Ruby's books from her hands to distract her for fun.
Now walking with her face sideways trying to grab her books from over Ellie's head she asks, "I wonder how they're even related, Royce seems to have a stick up his ass and Stellan glares at everyone he meets"
Ellie suddenly stops and stares, then retreats her eyes to look anywhere than in front of her.
"El you good?"
A cough comes from in front of them, and there standing is Royce glaring down at Ruby.
