I wanted to explain chapter 3. As someone who likes writing I wanted to have symbolism in it. The tree really represented Ruby, it was really strong even though on the outside it did appear weak and withered. That's why in the end of that chapter I wanted ruby to stand up for herself, and through the story she would be doing it more often, and her character growing as well.
Ellie is always going to be described as light, I don't know if anyone notices but when I describe her I usually had some light imagery or someone being "blinded" by her, as well as her being the sun and shining. I really want her character to be the purest one and just guiding people. That's why Ruby saw those flowers sitting by the tree, they represent loyalty, and wisdom and she sees Ellie in that flower that's why she appeared right after Ruby looks at them.
Call me a cliche but I really want Royce to be guided by Ellie's light too, let's hope he won't be too stubborn.
Also I haven't had many interaction between Ruby and Stellar because I want it to just fit the right way and not feel too forced or cliche I want them to grow little by little since Stellar isn't an easy guy.
