“Good evening Mr. and Mrs. Grayson.” I said while smiling at them, I then turned to smile at my fiancé who was standing by the door with a very bored expression.
“James.”
“Celia…” he said with his devious smile. “We’re going to get married, we can stop with the formality… you can call me baby.” He said while leaning into me, his breath cascading over my face.
And it gave me a strong urge to scowl.
“Good evening James. And no thank you, I’d rather stay formal.” I said while patting him on the shoulder while walking away from him.
And the second I walked past him, the simple sight of seeing Rebecca dressed and ready in a beautiful evening gown, well it took my breath away.
I couldn’t help the Cheshire cat smile that found its way onto my lips as I stared at Rebecca.
“Good evening.” I said breathlessly as I stared at her.
She looked up at me and smiled, “Good evening Celia.” She managed to say without stumbling, or ranting, or messing up.
Although I kind of missed the way she would blush just because she thought she wasn’t important enough to talk to me. It gave me a good feeling to know I made her feel… nervous.
“You look amazing.” I whispered while pulling her in for a hug.
And she did. Her long dirty blond hair was at the side of her head in an elegant bun, her make-up seemed to be professionally done. And then her dress, she was wearing a light grey dress that looked to be made up of silk, it gave me the urge to run my hands down her waist just to see how soft it was. Or to see if it was as soft as it looked
“Thanks.” She said while blushing under my gaze, that made an even bigger smile creep its way onto my face.
It only she knew just how nervous, and yet still amazing, she made me feel.
The simple act of touching her was becoming unbearable because I knew that I wanted to do so much more.
To learn what it would be like to kiss her soft lips…
“Okay then, we should go eat I'm starving.” I heard James say bluntly.
I had a strong urge to scowl again, this man is just so full of himself. It aggravates me, how can one person be so cocky, and stupid, and…
I have to take him down a couple notches before I marry him… if I marry him. Which I sure as hell hope that I don’t have too
I smiled at James as I walked after him, and next to Rebecca, as we walked into the Grayson’s dining room.
“Celia.” I heard James say while pulling out a seat for me.
I cringed at his fake niceness, “Where are you going to sit Rebecca?” I asked her kindly.
She smiled and me and shrugged.
I smiled, “Oh please sit next to me.” I said out loud. “You brother scares me.” I said while leaning in to whisper in her ear.
I could see a small smile form on her lips as she eagerly nodded to sit down with me.
I smiled at James while finally sitting down on the chair he had pulled out for me.
The food was brought in soon after and dinner went as it usually did, everyone talking about their own thing.
My mother and Mrs. Grayson were in an intense conversation about their new clothing lines, Mr. Grayson, my father, and James were in a conversation about the company, while I was completely contempt with simply sitting near Rebecca, smiling as she nervously looked down at her lap.
“Rebecca, what’s wrong?” I asked her nervously. She was being extremely quiet, I mean she usually is quit but this time more than usual.
“Oh, um nothing” She said nervously.
I chuckled. “You seem… nervous.” I said, voicing my thoughts.
She looked up at me and smiled. “It’s just school, I'm just… you know preoccupied with thoughts about school.” She said while trying to calm me down.
But she didn’t seem like the kind of person to get completely nervous, and quiet about a simple school issue.
“You can trust me Becca.” I said while placing my hand over hers on her lap.
She looked up at me nervously, her eyes wide as she slowly looked down at our hands again.
“I-I know.”
“Good, then tell me, what’s preoccupying that pretty little head of yours.” I said while smiling at her.
The comment only made her eyes widen more as she looked at me.
“I-it’s just that… I- I kind of l-like someone.” She said nervously, stuttering a couple of time.
My eyes widened and I couldn’t help but frown at her statement. “Oh, and who is this lucky guy?” I asked her, this time it was my turn to be nervous.
She played with her hands for a couple second before turning to me with a determined look, her hazel eyes though looked confused as she leaned into me.
I stopped breathing as her lips neared me. “I-it’s a girl.” She said bashfully.
