“Hey” I said while looking at the adorably cute and nerdy female in front of me.
“Your name is Karina, right?” I asked her while smiling down at her. She is only a couple of inches shorter than me, but I couldn't help but find her size completely adorable. She reminded me of a cute little doll.
I understood why melody found her attractive, or why she had a crush on her.
“Y-You know my….” She said in awe as she stared up at me.
I smiled down at her and nodded. I extended my hand and smiled. “I’ve never properly introduced myself Karina. I am Celia, and I think we should hang out one of these days.” I said while smiling.
She smiled up at me, and I couldn't help but giggle as she stared at my hand as though it were a foreign object, I also couldn’t help but notice the adorable blush on her cheeks.
I grabbed onto her hand and shook it myself because it didn’t seem like she was going to move anytime soon.
That was something I didn’t like about people… the way they treated me. The way she treated me, she doesn't like me, she doesn't even know me if she’s treating me like I'm just another public figure.
But that’s a good thing, her feelings for me are not real so I can help her and melody along.
I can help them be happy.
“On Saturday, my friends and I are going to the beach. We are all meeting up at my house, here” I said while handing her a piece of paper. “Meet there at twelve o’ clock. Okay.” I said while smiling at her one time before walking away from her.
It was already lunch so I just walked to the library to meet up with my newly found group of friends. Friend’s I’ve come to know and live throughout this week. It might not be a long time, but they are the closest things to friends that I have ever had.
And I feel happy with them.
“We should all go to the beach on Saturday!” I yelled the second I entered the library.
The librarian and adorable old lady simply gave me the librarian look. The one that says, ‘this is a library so be quiet’.
I simply smiled at her as I walked past.
“The beach?” Anthony said while scowling, “That’s a stupid-”
“It’s a fantastic idea!” I heard Rebecca say.
“Of course.” Anthony said with a small smile.
I ignored him as I continued to smile, unable to hide my enthusiasm.
“Saturday and nine, my place we are all leaving in my families car.” I said with I sat down on my chair, right next to Becca.
“That sounds like fun Celia.” Melody said while smiling at me. “But why so suddenly?” she asked while taking a bite out of her sandwich.
Seeing her eat suddenly made me hungry and regret not getting my lunch, but at the moment I felt way to happy to even think of getting food. For the first time in a while, I was actually excited about something, and I could not wait to tell someone.
“I also invited this very sweet girl I met today.” I said with a happy voice. I couldn't help but notice Rebecca at that moment. She was in the middle of biting her sandwich when she suddenly stopped midway, her brows furrowed and she seemed to find the tray in front of her fascinating because she wouldn't stop glaring at it. It was as though that poor tray had insulted the thing she loved most.
“Her name is Karina, I met her some time ago and invited her to hang out with us, I think it’ll be so much fun.” I said enthusiastically.
I smirked when I noticed Melody suddenly start choking.
“You should really be careful when you eat melody.” I said with a smirk. “You wouldn't want to choke on your food, now would you? Not when we have an exciting day ahead of us.”
She finished coughing before she glared at me. “Of course I wouldn't.”
I chuckled then and sat down on my chair, dragging my chair as close to the table as possible, my chair might have also gotten closer to Becca without much of my power.
“Where’s your lunch Celia.” I heard Rebecca’s cute little voice.
I turned to look at her and smiled. Resting my elbows on the table and my chin on my hands as I looked at her.
I nodded. “Yea, I was so busy talking to Karina that I forgot to get it.” I said with a small frown. “But I'm good, I’ll eat later.”
“You shouldn’t skip meals Celia.” She said with furrowed brows. “It’s bad for you. Here” She said while handing me the other half of her sandwich.
I hesitated before I took the sandwich from her hands, purposed skimming my fingers against her palm.
“Thank you.” I said while smiling at her.
“It’s turkey, I hope you like it.” She said with a small smile, she even nervously looked away from me as she said it.
The cute blush on her cheeks made me want to kiss her so badly, heck I just want to know what it is like to have her lips pressed against mine. At least once before I get married.
Then I think my marriage would be a little more bearable.
I didn’t think about anything, nor did I notice when I moved my hand so that it rested on top of hers.
“Thank you.” I said quietly while looking at our hands.
She didn’t say anything, but from my peripheral vision I could see her nod her hand as she stared at our hands as well.
I then moved my hands as if burned, my mind remembering the word she had told me not that long ago.
‘I kind of like someone… it’s a girl’
“Sorry” I apologized while keeping my head down, I couldn't help my mind from running into a million different directions.
“I-it’s okay.” She said while keeping her head down as well.
“Rebecca, I was wondering if you had done the math homework, I had trouble with it.” I heard Anthony say, and just like that, our awkward moment was gone.
She was now engrossed in a conversation with Anthony, and the small hint of hope I had was now gone. The hint of hope that maybe I was the girl she liked, but it was gone as soon as it had entered my mind.
When I looked up from my now fascinating, and almost hone sandwich I noticed the smirk on melody’s face. One that said she saw what had happened, and she knew something I did not.
