I didn't know where we were going, but I sure was excited.

"So where are we going?" I said in the front seat of her Honda Civic. She kept her eyes on the road at all times, and that worried me for a second.

"To a party." She said casually.

"What?!? I can't go to a party!" I told her, but she never took her eyes off the road.

"I'm just busting your chops, we are going to a secret place." She said. 'Busting your chops' what does that even mean? I decided to turn on the radio, but she waved her hand.

"No radio." She said and turned it off.

"Why not?" I asked her.

"Radios make noise and noise equals distraction." She said calmly. I stayed quiet for the rest of the ride, and she just focused on the road. Then, she stopped the car on the side of the road.

"We're here!" She said with excitement.

"Where is here exactly?" I asked confused as to why we stopped on the side of the road.

"Oh, you'll see." She said and got out of the car, but just before she left she grabbed binoculars from the backseat. She walked around until she found a trail and then we were headed to a tourist spot, by the looks of it.

"Why are we here?" I asked annoyed and confused.

"Hold on! You're so impatient!" She said sounding annoyed as well. As we got to the overlook, all you could see was the beach, a glowing beach actually. I've seen one before so it wasn't that exciting.

"Wow, glowing algae that makes the sand glow!" I said sarcastically raising my hands in the air.

"Just wait." She said and looked through her binoculars. Then I saw something moving, but I couldn't tell what it was.

"What is that?" I asked and she gasped.

"Where? Where do you see it!!" She started to get more excited and I pointed to where I saw the figures move. She looked with the binoculars and became quiet.

"What is it?" I asked her but she shushed me.

"We don't want to scare them." She said in a whisper.

"Scare what?" I asked and she held the binoculars to my face so I could see what they were. When I looked into it, I saw what they were, they were horses!

"Woah!" I said removing my face from the binoculars.

"I know! Cool right, they're wild and only come out during the night, because there aren't any tourists" she said and sat down.

"How did you know they were here?" I asked and her smile faded.

"My dad used to take me here to see the horses," She said sounding sad. "Before he died."

"I'm sorry Veronica, I didn't know." I said sincerely.

"I know, how could you have possibly known?" she said laughing.
