The rest of the day was the same as yesterday, until lunch came. I sat at the same table and was just on my phone when someone sat right across from me. I didn't look up because I knew it was Veronica, but the person didn't say anything. I looked up and saw a girl with blonde hair and glasses across from me. I have no idea who she is, I never seen her before.

"Um, can I help you with something?" I asked her and she finally looked up. She smiled and I could see she had braces.

"Oh no, I couldn't find anywhere to sit. I can leave if you want." She said still smiling.

"Oh, you can sit here if you would like, I'm new." I told her and she was still smiling.

"I'm Elizabeth, but you can call me Liz." She said reaching her name over the table so I could shake it.

"I'm Shawn." I said and shook her hand. Liz is nice, we spent the whole lunch talking and I got to know her pretty well. She's lived here for about three years and she has a brother around my sister's age. When I went up to throw out my trash, I saw Veronica staring at me with a devilish look, I wiggled my eyebrows in return and she looked away. I wonder what that's about? Veronica sits with who I assume are the popular people. They are all giggling and staring over at the tables with the jocks, so it was pretty easy to tell. When I got back to the table, Liz was finishing her sandwich.

"Do you know Veronica?" I asked her and she looked up at me.

"You mean, popular Veronica?" She said with a gulp and turned around to her table.

"Yeah, is she nice?" I asked Liz and her eyes grew wide.

"She is the total opposite of nice, she's like the devil himself!" She said getting worried, just by hearing her name. I was totally confused, is Liz telling the truth?

"What has she done?" I asked looking at Liz, her eyes filled with terror. She got closer to me and whispered in my ear so no one else would hear.

"Bad, bad things."
