What Liz said is really getting into my head.

"Like what?" I asked her and she shook her head.

"One time, she became friends with a new boy from school. She would take him on adventures and stuff until he fell for her, then she told everyone that he tried to rape her. Everyone believed Veronica and not him." She said her voice getting sadder and sadder by the second.

"H-he k-killed himself." She said trembling. I was shocked and I didn't know what to do, so I got up and sat on her side of the table and hugged her. She was basically sobbing, and right from the corner of my eye, I could see Veronica staring at me. Her face was tense and she was clenching her fists, but I didn't look at her. I didn't want to talk to Veronica today, so I skipped music.

I walked home with Liz. She's pretty cool, she likes Harry Potter and has read all the books, I just waited for the movies. She can long board which is awesome because I thought only guys do that, and she's overall a nice person. And the funny part, she lives right next to me but to the right, when veronica is on the left. I technically took her home, because her house was first. So I told her to go on her balcony, since all the houses are built the same. Then, I raced to my house and went to my balcony, and she waved at me. The wave didn't last long because her eyes grew wide. I gave her a confused look as to why she was scared and that's when I put things together. I turned around and there she was with her devilish face, waving. When she saw me she simply flipped her hair and went inside. I turned around to Liz, but she wasn't there anymore. I asked Liz for her phone number so we could talk more, so I texted her to see what was wrong.

Why did you go inside?

I texted her and responded immediately.

Veronica gave me a signal not to talk to you.

What did she mean by signal?

What do you mean?

I texted back but she never responded. So I decided to dm Veronica to find out what she did to scare Liz. Surprisingly she beat me to it, I already have a message from her.

Why are you hanging out with Elizabeth??

She said which sounded very rude.

Why does it matter who I hang out with?

I typed as if I was angry at Veronica, she didn't reply back. So the whole night I was left with my thoughts, is Veronica actually nice? Or is she the devil himself? Is Liz telling the truth? Or is all of this a lie for me to stop talking to Veronica?
